The Frenchie self-destruction continues... How did I initially think this guy was going to do well? The guy is over playing and over-reacting to just about everything... Despite over playing last week, I felt like Kyland was not really targeting Frenchie until he started getting overwhelming comments that Frenchie had to go...

And while some of that feedback would have happened anyway, I think a lot of it was because of some of his recent post-HoH behavior... He's really "frenching" it up here! LOL...

Kyland's picks are solid... I agree that Frenchie needs to be put up (kudos that he didn't feel bullied or pressured by Frenchie to keep him off the block)...and putting up Britini also makes complete sense to protect his primary target from being taken down...

I like Kyland a lot... I think he could go far...

The wildcard competition was interesting, in a number of ways...
  • Interesting that Frenchie put a target on his back (as I mentioned above in my previous post), making him feel like he needed to play the wildcard comp this week
  • Interesting that Frenchie tried to get the others to throw the comp so he could be safe
  • Interesting that the "prize" wasn't much of one...
  • Interesting that Sarah Beth decided to decline protection for the week to stay with her team
  • Wondering whether Frenchie would have given his team the finger and abandoned them if he actually won the wildcard comp

The prize was totally lame, and basically made the entire competition pointless.

Not ENTIRELY pointless... Largely pointless, yes...

If you felt like you were in absolute danger (like Frenchie seems to think he is)...would he trade teams to gain protection? I wish he won simply to find out where his loyalties lie...

I bet he would have switched.
That would have been interesting... I wonder how they would handle the leadership issues...

Frenchie would obviously become a "regular" member of the new team... Who would take over leadership of The Jokers? An existing member should take over in my opinion...but maybe the rules would install the new member as the leader, since it's a swap...

I didn't think there was an official leader of each team. Yes, there was the original "leader" that picked the team members but did they have any leadership role after that?

yes, they are team leaders until team play ends in a few weeks.

So what do they do as team lead?

i'm not sure, outside what's already been shown, which isn't much - maybe it will become more clear as the teams/team play move forward?
Yeah I don't really think there are team leaders other than the first week they got to pick the teams. They're de-facto leaders but really there isn't a leader. If Frenchie had won, he absolutely would have changed to get safety. And he would have needed it.

I like Kyland quite a bit. I think it was smart how he put up Brittany so she couldn't take down Frenchie, even though I really like Brittany. I hope she doesn't fly off the handle in anger like she seemed to in the outro of the show. It seemed pretty clear she isn't the target, and that the house really wants Frenchie out anyways.

This, she needs to be careful or they might decide she's more dangerous. A player like Frenchie can be turned into nothing if they just ignore him and play their own games, don't tell him a thing and only bring him in where necessary. I'm not sure, at this point you could do that with Brittney.

So far, I like where the game is going as far as production. I like the team aspect, it brings something new, and the wildcard game is needed in order to have something else going on early in the game on nomination day and it doesn't completely destroy the flow of the game. It's nothing like giving Paul 3 free weeks that one season, which helped him totally coast to the end. And it's a choice, that may or may not work for every player. While it turned into nothing because she chose not to play it, in some respects it's a defensive maneuver in keeping it away from Frenchie who would definitely use it.
I would have put up Sarah Beth after declining safety, just like putting up any sap on Survivor that gives away immunity.

I don't think this is that fair. She would have massively pissed off at least 2 people to get that safety by taking safety away from someone and splitting up their group. She did enough to win it so Frenchie didn't get it, because he knew he was going to be nominated and would have used it. The house is probably thanking her for winning and not using the power, giving her more social cred than she would have lost by using it.
