Wow, Memphis is not doing a good job of concealing the fact that he is playing both sides of the house... I was hoping Tyler or David was going to pull out the win to force Memphis to show his hand... In many ways, he already has shown his hand, but it would have been great to force him to visibly choose a side...

Memphis doesn't know what an alliance is. If he won't listen to them and have their back, to the detriment of others in his alliance, they are not going to back him or stay in this alliance for long. It will be great to see everybody turn on him.

I don't think Memphis is long for this game. At least the way they portrayed him during this episode, everyone seems to be realizing what he's doing. He's not listening to anyone, and not only is he trying to play both sides, but his doing a good job of p**sing both sides off. The smart move would be to get Janelle and/or Kayer out now, while he seemed to have the votes. It's going to be harder to do that going forward, especially since they are a solid twosome who can bring in allies as needed.

Agree, though I don't think David belonged in this season. He's certainly not an "All-Star" in any definition you want to use. I'd rather see David go, since I have always though Nicole is an interesting player, and she has that "underdog" vibe that makes you want to root for her. I have no feelings for David other than that he's being mistreated by Memphis (I wonder if there's the "obvious" racial overtones there....he doesn't seem to be all that close with Da'vone and Bayleigh either...I keep expecting him to call David "boy".)

Memphis just did not treat these nominations with any sort of respect or kindness. You can't treat people that way and say "it's just a game". You can still be respectful to someone you are nominating.

Case in point, he could have put up the same two people and instead of pissing them both off individually said something like "you both played together last season and strong likeable pairs are dangerous in this house, so good luck in the veto comp".

Both Memphis and Keesha have tarnished whatever legacy they had as players by their displays of poor play.

I feel like Tyler is going to rally to save David, and with the other members of the alliance likely will get his way. Which makes me sad, because I love Nicole A and love having her voice as part of the season.

Agree, and David has no business in an All-Star season, having never really actually played. So I'm all for voting him off (not that I don't like the guy, but Nicole A to me would be more fun to watch). But I agree, there may be more of a push to save David and he might be seen as less of a threat down game.

I think David's position was justified by the producers because he was memorable. In fact, I think he may be the most memorable first-evictee in BB history...

I recall remembering what a smart player he seemed to be during his short time in the house. The way he anticipated what was going on in the house, etc... Just because you are voted out early, doesn't make you a poor player...some of this is luck (and could also have some underlying and unintentional racial targeting as well)...

Yeah...giving him the title of "all-star" is WAY too premature... But I think as a smart rookie player he seems to have the smarts, the passion to play, and the personality to do well on BB... Just my opinion...

I think David was "memorable" because his eviction was last season (or the season before?). If he was first evicted 10 years ago, nobody would have remembered him. I don't think he did anything remarkable during his couple of days in the house or anything that made him stand out any more than any other early evictee. I just think that because viewers didn't like that he got screwed due to nothing he did or didn't do, that the producers felt they should bring him back. I just think an All-Star season was the right place to do it. Of course some of the others are far from "All-Stars" as well, but that's another issue. Considering it's possible he's the second player voted off, his smarts and passion don't matter all that much. Basically he's easy pickings and that's why he got nominated and my go. He needed to get into an alliance, otherwise nobody feels compelled to keep him. He's an outsider and that doesn't help in an All-Star season where a lot of these people know each other.

I agree that he is "fresh" in our memories because it was just last season... HOWEVER, I do think he was memorable for a first evictee... Often I can't remember the first evictee half way through the season (unless it is a returning player)...

To be honest, I had no idea who he was when I first saw his name listed as a possible houseguest for this year. Once they mentioned he was first off last year...my first reaction....WTF..that's an All-Star? Second reaction...oh yeah, he got screwed last season. Maybe because never a good chance to play the game? He was "banished" from the house even before we saw the premier episode. He had to stay in "Camp Comeback" for 4 weeks and then competed to get back in to the game. He lost the comeback game. He was never given a chance to play the game. He wasn't even voted out by a house vote. I agree that he is not an All Star, but his observations while in Camp Comeback gave me the opinion he could have been a formable player if not for the unfortunate twist.

That was precisely my observation too! He had some pretty enlightening comments, which don't seem so enlightening to us because as viewers, we have eyes and ears on all the different conversations... But David struck me as a pretty smart and intelligent player...
