I think Dick and Danielle are acting the hate this time.

If I could get rid of two right away, it'd be Rachel and Danielle. Rachel talks too much and is super annoying and Danielle basically didn't say anything. And she looks horrible with black hair. Now that I'm seeing them again, I still can't help but think Brendon is being walked on by Rachel and for some reason he either likes it or can't see it.
I still like Jeff and Jordan. The new people are too soon to tell for me. So far I think they'll be alright.
I did like the new twist with the golden keys. I like that it makes them think a lot differently on who they want to go but also who they want to be around for awhile.

THis is the worst start to any BB yet. That being said, I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.

It will be interesting. Wonder what happens when one person in the couple wins POV. My guess is both come down. This can be very bad to be HOH the first few weeks. Also with the safe until Top 10 does it sound like they will dissolve the whole "couples" after the first month? Seems like they tried this couples thing before and are coming back trying to make it better.
It is excruciating to watch this in non-HD. Looks awful.
There's not a lot of special effects, other than Rachel's twins. So being in non-HD certainly isn't excrutiating.
Ended up watching even though I said I wouldn't (was captive audience...wife and son wanted to watch, and we had a conflict, and my other TV is offline due to house renovation). I probably will watch on and off during the season based probably on what is said here. A few notes:
Agree, it looks awful in non-HD...is this the last prime time network show left still broadcast in SD? At least put it in 16x9.
Julie looks like she's kept her baby weight. But I think it's made her look older, not better.
Two of the three old couples I can't stand. I was so hoping that Rachel wouldn't win HoH, because I was hoping she was first to go. I REALLY don't think I can watch another season of her if she goes far. Still like Jeff and Jordan. Jordan may be the most unintentionally funny person on TV right now. And she's still hawt
Danielle looks horrible. She looks like she's strung out on drugs. I loved her expression when she was sitting there with Dick....like she really didn't want to be there (with him?). I do think that the Dick and Danielle not talking is a host.
Out of the new couples, I think I like the older woman the best. I think the NJ guy could be fun, if he doesn't get too annoying with the 90210 stuff. Otherwise, the rest seem pretty boring to me on first impression. More fake boobs make an appearance.
On the twist. They HAD to do it this way in order for the duo thing to work. What would have happened after they voted on of the two in the duo off and they weren't protected? How can you put them up if you are supposed to put up a duo? And I think this is a hint that after 4 weeks, the duo thing will be gone. Still curious how they will be doing Veto. I think the whole team will get vetoed if one wins.

Also read that Dick was asked only a week before the show to come on, and if that's the case, I think he HAD to convince Danielle to do it again, which I doubt he could do if they weren't talking. I think they were the replacement when Will and Boogie declined

You don't need special effects to make it look crappy be comparison. While it's not a show that BEGS for HD, it's harder to watch when EVERY other show you watch is HD. I have become an HD snob by now. I can't stand watching non-HD. It's one reason I don't watch the AMC shows that are kind of popular. DirecTV doesn't have AMC in HD (although I did try Mad Men and found it kind of boring). I think at least put HD in the living room and outside, and it's fine to keep the bedrooms, bathrooms and diary rooms SD (just make them wide screen).There's not a lot of special effects, other than Rachel's twins. My favorite new contestant is Cassi (gorgeous) but I can't stand her teammate Shelly. Her voice is like fingernails on the chalkboard.
I know that I would not want Keith as a Youth Minister, especially if I had a high school aged daughter! Dude, learn some control.

I am a hi-def snob and did not even notice it was not in high def for some reason - 60 inch TV pillar bars and all. I guess it's not like survivor in beautiful locations, just spy cams in a house.
It looks like Dick and Danielle have been partying way too hard with the winnings and fame. It will be interesting when they start getting strung out and agitated.
I would have loved to see Will and Boogie but I guess they made something of their lives and can't spend an entire summer in that house for a chance at $500k. It amazes me how long the final people are in the house and the prize is only $500k. It's not like Survivor where you are in and out in a little over a month.
I laugh at when the VIP Cocktail waitress told the group that she was a student because she did not want people to think she lived a luxurious lifestyle.
Finally summer as BB is back. I love this show. So easy on the brain.

I liked how Kalia's partner called her Kalua after she specifically said that her name wasn't that. Then also when Rachel came into the house Kalia started making fun of Rachel's boobs. Hello, you're are bigger than hers!
