Best Buy Coupons - Do they work on Tivo?

Does anyone know for sure whether or not the recent coupons for Best Buy work with Tivo units? I'm considering getting my Wife a Premiere Elite for Christmas, because she totally needs 4 tuners with all the shows she watches. But it would be really nice to get $50-$60 off one.

Unfortunately, whereas the old coupons would exclude certain items, the new ones only list included categories. From what I can tell, at least. Does anyone have any experience with this? Any Best Buy employees around? Here are the coupons in question:

It looks like at the very least the 5% coupon would work...

I'll probably grab one either way, but a good discount would be nice.

12% should work fine. I used one in October for the Elite. it says also valid at Magnolia Home Theater which the tivo is a Magnolia product

Awesome, thanks for the information.
My 10% coupon worked on an Elite in October.
Just bought an elite with the 12% TODAY.
I was also able to use a 12% on the Elite the first day it came out.
I went in today, and none of the coupons knocked any price off the total. I'm thinking the guy at the cash register just didn't know what he was doing. I went ahead and picked it up anyway, but I'm wondering if there is a way to get this corrected in the future. I didn't want to cause a scene or anything, but 12 or 10% off $500 is a pretty big deal. It was pretty busy in there at the time, though. I'm premiere silver, so it would be nice if there was a way to figure it out without taking it back in. Unfortunately tomorrow starts the craziness.

The sucky thing is that those coupons are only good in store. So I'm not sure that I could even call Best Buy to get it straightened out. I had only seen the one post at the time I had went in, otherwise I would've made a bigger deal about it.

You should have had them call the manager over. Many times I've had the cashier say that a coupon could not be used. But I get them to scan it. Any coupon that can't be used won't apply the discount when scanning it. Typically when they say it can't be used, and they scan it, I get the discount. Because the item I'm buying is not in the exclusion list on the back. And the computer system applies the discount because it's supposed to while the cashier has no clue about what products the coupon can be used with.(I've even had discounts applied to products on the exclusion list. Once a representative erroneously tells me I can get a discount, I am getting that discount. When that happens a manger has needed to give me a manual discount)

Your best bet is to go back to the store or go to another one. Since the coupons can be used for a discount on the Elite. It is not a device included in the exclusion list on the back of the coupon.
I checked for Elite availability at local BBs on-line and found three stores within 50 miles that had units in stock. I went to the nearest one and they either didn't have any or else couldn't find one. I called the next nearest, 35 miles away, and the CS person confirmed that they had two in stock. I asked if they would hold one for me overnight for pickup the next morning. They at first refused to do so, then agreed to do so if they could bill my CC for the sale. When I said I had a 12% coupon and would give them the seven-digit code, they refused to accept it and wanted to charge me full price. Hell, for full price I can order one from Tivo with no sales tax and free shipping.

So first thing next morning I drove to the store, asked a floor clerk to get me an Elite from inventory. Turns out the Elite models are kept in storage in the Magnolia department, whereas the other two Premiere models are on the open shelf in the video department. The Magnolia clerk allowed the application of my 12% coupon without any fuss, and I was out of there in five minutes. Bottom line: if a SC refuses to honor your coupon, escalate to someone else. FWIIW, they seem to put their brighter people in Magnolia.

Anyone have a current 10 or 12 percent off code they are willing to share? I have a friend who wants to buy an Elite.
Thanks. I'll pass it along, and hope it works for him!!!
Bought Premiere Elite for my daughter today. Tried to use the coupon code. Computer would not apply the discount. But Magnolia rep did a 6% courtesy discount anyway. Saved $30. Thanks for posting.
