Ok, I no nobody cares but me, but I am finally back in the Tivo family. I had Tivos back in 1999-2000 era, and then a Sony Directivo for a couple years, but finally went back to cable when I got tired of Florida rain storms and losing my satellite signal.
I used the SA 8300HD for a while, which was just ok, but recently Bright House switched me over to the SA 8300HDC which is truly the worst DVR ever brought to the market. The first Tivo ever released with the first software is better than that dead weight box.
This forced my hand and I got a TivoHD this week. Even with some signal problems we are still working out (sensitive tuners and my sucky building cable), coming back to Tivo is like drinking water after a 3 day walk in the desert!! I actually WANT to just sit there and watch television again!!!! (and my wife has Tivo envy...beautfiul except now I have to buy another one!!)
If anyone is thinking about going back to Tivo, and are on the fence, DO IT. You won't be disappointed. It feels so good to be back!!!!!!
