AVC on Series 2?

Hi,

Just upgraded from an S1 to an S2, dual tuner.

Since the upgrade I'm finding HUGE, as in ear splitting, volume differences from recorded program to recorded program.

I'm trying to get in the habit of reducing the volume before switching programs but have to admit that I forget sometimes.

I'm not talking about "normal" volume differences between channels or between program content and commercials. These differences are enormous!

Nothing has changed other than swapping Tivo models so I'm thinking that the S1 had MUCH better AVC or the S2 has negative AVC. Can this be???

Is there anything I can do?

If TiVos have any sort of automatic volume correction, I'm unaware of it. Since you're using a DT, are you perhaps seeing the difference between the TiVo internal tuner and what your cable box puts out? I know that on my dad's TiVo, things were out of whack because the volume on the cable box had been turned way down.
