Of course you can.
Xfinity like many others is not opening new CableCARD installations, but still supporting existing ones, and I'm sure there are some isolated regions where Xfinity is possibly giving out new cards.

No major company in any major city, no.

 

I know people often make empty threats of cancelling something, so I don't promise I'll do it literally the same day, but whenever they stop supporting cable cards for existing customers, I will definitely look into cancelling BOTH cable TV and internet.. (AFAIK there are wireless internet options available at my house).. and of course tell them WHY I was cancelling when I finally did..
(and I know that wouldn't convince them to reverse it... but anyway)

Cox cable in Las Vegas still issues new ccs. A couple other small providers were left last time I looked. Can’t remember exact names but they did not serve many customers.

It’s safe to assume you are not in an area that issues ccs. Lots of good options in other threads to replace TiVo that are not as good but are close enough.

Probably that will end when the acquisition (by Charter) is complete and the service offerings are aligned, which can take anywhere from a few months to a year or so after the transaction is complete.

Spectrum recently sent me a new cablecard to replace my old one for some compatibility issue. Now, I do not know if I could order a new one, or if that was just because I already had one.

I believe Blue Ridge Cable in PA still offers cable cards and they also lease their own TiVos.

 

They have a cloud based dvr now. I read that in another thread not that long ago.
