The DVR Xpander has not been tested for compatibility with any TiVo DVR.
Although there are reports that the DVR Xpander is compatible with TiVo series 3 DVR, Apricorn has not been able to verify that TiVo has activated the eSATA port on any of their DVRs or PVRs at this point. Although I don't see why this wouldn't work. This just sounds like the company cya.

Agreed, but this is simply the company line (playing to the lowest common denominator) since the e-sata port is not officially active. Their sturdy case, active cooling and use of 24/7 rated drives makes this a great choice. The price is also very reasonable for the 500GB and pretty decent for the 750GB as well.
