If so, any issues? Some of these Android or Roku or streaming TVs seem pretty cheap, less than a smart TV or a non internet TV (if you can still get those). Maybe cheap because they sell your streaming data? Anyway can you use an Android TV without connecting it to the internet? I really don't stream or use apps, what I do I can just use from the Tivos. I have HEARD some of these Android TVs "talk" to you with no way to turn off the talking, even to the point where they vocally "remind" you a wifi connection is available every 10 mins, even if you don't want to use it. Basically would like to use an Android TV with Tivos, no internet connected to the TV itself, anyone doing that, with no vocal reminders you can't turn off?

You don't have to hook up the TV to the internet, but you won't be able to use any of the internal apps. They are all smart TVs, just different operating systems. Make sure on any set that Wi-fi is disabled and you're not hooking up wired ethernet and you have a dumb TV. Cheap TVs are lacking in picture quality too, if you can't see one in a store don't buy blind..just sayin..
Beware hearsay, it you can't verify it don't believe it. Try this site for TV reviews they have a reputation for being trustworthy.
