So the NHL Network appeared on my channel lineup today, but no video yet. Does anyone have any solid information about when it will launch in the U.S.?

It's already technically launched since it's just a simulcast of the Canadian channel at the moment, but it depends on your local provider whether or not it's currently active.

My Comcast system in the Philly area had it briefly activated late Sunday night into Monday morning, but it must have been a test since it disappeared while I was watching it (an interesting experience since my cable box was freaking out before it randomly selected another channel), and the latest message on the cable box said they're officially rolling it out Oct. 23rd in this area.

I've heard it's already up on some systems across the country like TWC in NY, various Comcast areas, Bright House in Florida, and Dish HD among others.

From what I caught during NHL on the Fly on Sunday night, they're working on finalizing a schedule of approximately 50 games for US viewers. They were careful to emphasize that Monday's slate of games was for Canadian viewers only and I've heard that US markets saw replays of classic games in their place, so that'll be one of the few differences between Canada and the US since their rights to televise games differ by country.

Thanks for the info, hoping it is all its cracked up to be...
I'll just be happy having a constant TV source for hockey info. Instead of sitting through countless repeats of SportsCenter, I can watch repeats of NHL on the Fly. :)

I almost paid for center ice because of hockey night in canada and after hours, as they are by far the best hockey coverage available and the commentary is very good, but the lack of high def hockey was a killer. Thinking of getting the sports tier to also get a couple of the other Fox Sports channels to get a few more games.
