Anyone else noticed, after today’s download, there are a whole bunch of channels where “To Be Announced” is showing instead of program information?

The download happened just before 11:00AM this morning. Knowing the usual procedure of 3 forced service connections in a row to see if any updates are available, I tried this a few minutes ago. After the third call there was still no download, update, or pending restart, but something told me to try it a fourth time.

On the fourth call it seemed to do a pretty big download which took about 3 or 4 times longer than the average download on a normal day’s update (normal speed is usually about 3 to 5 seconds from when it moves down from “Connecting” to “Getting Info”, but today’s took about 15 seconds) . It has been loading for about 40 minutes and is at 22% so far. My unit, TiVo Premier 4, is pretty consistent on download and processing times, so if I have estimated correctly, this download will take close to 3 hours to fully process. It usually processes (“Loading Info”) a full download in 30 to 35 minutes, but this time it has gone 40 minutes and is at 22%. A pretty hefty download.

We’ll see if this is an update containing the missing data, but I wanted to see if anyone else has had a large amount of missing information after the last download.

sounds like you're getting a full download at the moment, which should correct the issue after it's had time to index. i haven't noticed any pattern to what causes the issue, like if it's unique to a particular update or market, but it happens - my download this morning was fine.

this is an ongoing issue with te3, has been for years, and there are workarounds if it doesn't self-correct, but no fixes - submitting a lineup form to support, or performing a cpi&tdl - i keep a close eye on my tdl to prevent missed recordings, but this time it sounds as if you're going to be ok.

Thank you so much!

This does look like it may be a full download, and I'm thinking this will probably correct it, too.

It's good to know it is a known issue with te3. I get it every once in a while, but there are usually just a handful of channels. This time it was the majority of them, but knowing it's an ongoing te3 issue tells me it's likely not my unit specifically so I'm definitely glad for that.

"after it's had time to index" is the important step which is hard to measure. Without a display of progress, we only know it has completed when the holes go away, which sometimes takes more than a day (in my experience).
Thank you!

I figured the indexing was a part of process after the loading process is complete, but I didn't know it took more of a separate action. I figured it was somewhat going on during the loading process, but it makes sense that some things don't show up or change until a little while after loading finishes because of the indexing still going.
