I was surprised the tea took so much time for some and others got it right away. It appeared as if you had to drink the whole thing which I guess makes sense otherwise they would just grab cups and run up there with them. Margie has a lot of patience, I'm sorry to see her go. Globetrotters showed class too, I like them.

Ugh, TAR's annual pilgrimage to India, and another challenge revolving around tea.

That about sums up my feelings this week. Nothing particularly exciting or new, just...India. Again. *shrug*

Sorry to see Margie go she seems like a nice person. I'm not sorry to see Luke go. Frankly, she coddles the kid and she's not really doing him a favor. Now, if you could let Ron go home and let Margie and Christina be a team, I'd be fine with that.

Nice chunk of change this week.
I didn't even realize Snapple was still in business.

Yep, when he was stressing and crying about how hard the challenge was, I almost felt sorry for the little fella, except for the fact that he's 25 years old! Good Grief.

One good thing I can say though is that he did not quit. I respect him for that.
I loved it when the people rushed to hug Luke when he finally got the tea right (even though he was a bit of a cry baby about it). Or maybe they were just happy to be able to go home.

I am so sick of them going to China and India. There are so many other countries to explore. Jeez!
Margie's problem is that she wants everyone to treat Luke as a regular person, but she treats him like a baby.
Why didn't more people smell the tea first? Ron seemingly did that from the first attempt and obviously got it very quickly.
Good riddance to the crybaby, Luke. What a spoiled brat...

And, yes, I'm tired of China and India, too.

I thought the Globetrotters showed great patience in both the painting task and the tea-tasting...
Anybody else read that's Luke's occupation is "motivational speaker"! Source: Biography on Amazing race website.

This was my favorite part of the episode... second favorite part, seeing the whiny Luke finally voted off for good.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who doesn't like Luke AND blames the mother for making him a cry-baby-mama's-boy.

I liked the "holy cow" just as they got out of the airport in India :D

a couple of smart players (the blonde girl, especially) didn't really drink the tea. They would take one sip and spill the rest on their chest. You can "drink" a heck of a lot more cups that way!
I may be the only won, but I was glad to see Gary & Mallory win the leg of race. I know she is annoying, but I also think she has a lot of spunk.

But, as Phil was reading the prizes they won, you could read her expressions. First "all we won is a bunch of Snapple?", then "A million rupies? How much is that in American dollars?"

Yes more of them should have done that! I think Mallory and Kent also gave it a whiff and finished relatively quickly.

Mallory actually put her nose in the liquid!

Next task -- wet T-shirt contest....

Might as well say, begging for money. He milks his challenge for all it's worth. Not a credit to the hearing impaired community. I used to work with Gallaudet university and I bet they hate that attitude.
I didn't mind China and India this time around. At least they are going to different cities. I had never heard of that city in China, and it appears to be close to the Himalayas. As I said before, China has some of the largest cities nobody has ever heard of and it's cool that they go there. As for India, some of the funniest moments have happened there so I don't mind. And you have to remember, logistically, it's probably easier to go to larger countries than some smaller countries, so I can understand why they go there.

My son and wife were rooting for Luke and Margie, but I was glad to see them go. I've gotten over him being deaf, and have realized he's just a whiny baby. Now if Gary and Mallory can be next, I'll be totally happy. Mallory is the type of girl that gets on my nerves. Spunk is ok, but too much spunk, and I just wanted to throw her in that pool of water behind the pit stop. She clearly needs a bit of weed to mellow her out :) I'm liking the Goth couple more and more with each episode. They are just having fun with the whole experience. It was funny when Zev smashed the cup after getting it wrong. And what was with his PJs!! I wonder if they gave them water to cleanse their pallets. I would imagine after awhile all those teas probably tasted the same.

Before I started working with a lot of Indians 6 or 7 years ago, Kolkata (Calcutta) was one of the few cities I actually had heard of.

Must be because of Carmen Sandiego :)
