Has anyone added lifetime (all in) service to a used Roamio lately? It used to be that you could sometimes get lifetime for $99 on older devices.

I have a used one that has come my way, and have been wondering about this, vs scuttling for spare parts. Just curious if anyone had luck with this lately.

A while back I got All-In on a monthly Roamio for $199. For a Premiere it was $99.

Both are still running.

It also depends on the model number of your Roamio. I've got one which is only available to the $15 per month subscription. No lifetime at any price.

Hi
I know this is an old thread but I’m here because I was going to upgrade to an edge but after reading the forums decide to maintain my 2009 Romio base 3TB. I’ve been paying $129 per year. I call CSR and said I was considering canceling because the Tivo is so old, they offered the following options:

standard lifetime upgrade $399
because I’m so loyal. $299
Or new annual rate. $99

I took the $299 so I’ll have the option to sell the unit on ebay if I bail on Tivo altogether.

It seems the Romio came out in 2013, I don’t know why my account says I’ve had it since 2009 :/

I would have sold you one of my Roamio's w/ lifetime/all in for a lot less...... $200ish shipped. I guess I should post for sale on the forum.

I don’t remember a single time lifetime was sold for $99 dollars outright.

Special offers required a new purchase and/or a transfer from an older unit, to a newly purchased unit.

Not just a straight lifetime purchase.

There is next to zero incentive for TiVo to sell a heavily discounted lifetime service for a unit purchased off the secondary market.

I have a refurbished Roamio OTA that I bought as a backup to my regular one for $50 about 4-5 years ago. I called TIVO customer support recently and asked them what it would cost to add lifetime service to it and they told me $250. My only question is "how much longer will Tivos work with ATSC 3.0/Next Gen TV on the horizon...and ATSC 1.0 being phased out?". Does anyone have any clue as to how long it will be before Roamio OTAs will become obsolete? With that uncertainty, I'm not sure it's worth spending $250 on lifetime service.

This article:
states that:
"stations that do voluntarily broadcast in ATSC 3.0 must continue to offer ATSC 1.0 signals for at least five years after the switch."
You'll find this quote in the "What if I don't care about ATSC 3.0" paragraph.

Contact me if you would like to purchase a lifetime Roamio for much less than the lifetime price from Tivo. I have an OTA and a Basic.
