Does anyone know of a way to connect a DVD player as an input to the TiVo HD? This would let me record my DVDs to my TiVo.

I could do this on my old TiVo, but the new TiVo HD only has two coaxial inputs. So I need to somehow use some of my DVD outputs and convert them to a coax input...what's the simplest way? Any hints/creative solutions? Thanks guys!

My DVD outputs are:
* S Video
* Component Video
* HDMI (currently connected to the TV)
* (audio) Coaxial Digital (currently connected to my receiver)
* (audio) Optical Digital
* (audio) L/R audio outputs (the old-fashioned kind)

The only way to do it is to use an old school "RF modulator" originally intended to allow people to hook up a DVD player or game console to a TV that only had RF inputs. You could run that into the antenna jack and do a manual recording, but there wouldn't be any way to attach the name of the movie to the recording once you got it on the THD.

Your best bet is to rip the DVDs and wait for TTTG to come to the THD, or just buy a DVD Tivo unit that comes with Tivo basic and use that to play DVDs with the Tivo interface.
