Add description to videos that Streambaby lists?

Is there a way to add a description of the video I have ripped, and have that description show up when Streambaby lists all the movies?

So if I have a .vob file that is a copy of Transformers, if I want to add a description of the film, how can I get that to show up??

You are referring to StreamBaby in pyTivo right?

Download that program, it is called MetaGenerator. It downloads all of the movies' info from netflix and outputs it to a .txt file that pyTivo/StreamBaby will read. It works awesome for both tv and movies.

Sorry about the weird link I don't have enough posts to post links.
No, just the standalone StreamBaby application

It works the same way: use something like MetaGenerator to save the metadata files in the same directory as your videos (or, if you prefer, you can create a .meta subdirectory and put them in there). Then pyTiVo or streambaby will read those metadata files and display that information in their TiVo interfaces.
So, if I have all my movie files in 1 big folder, and then use Metagenerator, so I have the .vob file and .vob.txt file, the description should show up?
Yes, although I've never tried this with .VOB files. I presume it's a single large (merged) VOB file and not the individual ones off of the DVD? All of my stuff is in MP4 so I haven't deal with streaming DVD images.
Yea, 1 large video file.......

I'm still trying to decide what the best format for viewing movies would be......one that gives the best picture quality and sound for LCD TV's........
Yes, because it names the meta file myfile.ext.txt it will show the right description for each movie. I just found pyTivo this weekend and spent a lot of time figuring out how to do it myself :)
Well, I hope it works the same for StreamBaby...... :) I'm gonna test it tonight......

It works. ;) I point pyTivo and streambaby to the same video directory on my NAS and they both use the same metadata files from MetaGenerator without a problem.
I noticed that the description shows up, but not the other info, such as actors, etc......... Does it on yours?

Yep. Under streambaby you have to page down on the program details screen to see the rest:

Under pyTivo, you use the Info button:

pyTivo seems to show more, streambaby must be truncating a bit (but I've never paid that much attention before).
