That's good. I wouldn't have watched if they didn't have at least one of the originals in it. It would be really bad otherwise.
I was thinking "It will be really bad ANYWAY..."DougF said:That's good. I wouldn't have watched if they didn't have at least one of the originals in it. It would be really bad otherwise.
I never found the commercials terribly amusing, so I am pretty certain it will be horrible.Fish Man said:I don't understand why so many people are so positive that it will be horrible.
Oh, same here. It looks like a Big Bag of Suck regardless of the cast.NJChris said:I was thinking "It will be really bad ANYWAY..."![]()
It's not funny to you so it wont be funny or good to anyone else? I find some of the commercials amusing so i can see the show being funny if it has good scripts.marksman said:I never found the commercials terribly amusing, so I am pretty certain it will be horrible.
Taking something that wasn't funny in the first place and stretching it out does not make it funny.
I have seen Encino Man, barely funny, and Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer (Phile Hartman is awesome but still only miniscully funny.)
The concept on its face is just not that funny.
And it is clear that is the focus of the show.
Stop that!DougF said:I was just having a little fun.
Perfect example. Bad concept begets bad show!zuko3984 said:I'm not passing judgement until i actually see the show. Just because a concept doesn't sound great doesn't mean the show will be bad. I thought the concept for that show The Class sounded really stupid and I ended up really liking that show.
Nope. With the Class it was more like: Bad concept begets so-so pilot begets retooling begets funny comedy with likable characters begets sadness at it's non-renewal.marksman said:Perfect example. Bad concept begets bad show!

1. The moving sidewalk at the airport. The caveman's body language is perfect.
2. The one where he responds "what" to the anchors diatribe.
Is either one of those Jeff Phillips? Photo without makeup on imdb.com He's on a soap opera. (won't let me cut and paste).
And "Baby Bob" lasted how long again?trausch said:It's unusual for characters from an advertising campaign to move into shows of their own, but not unprecedented. The CBS comedy "Baby Bob" featured a talking baby that had been used in several ads.
All of the listings refer to the same guy. Only one has photos and it's easy to see past the makeup....eyebrow ridge etc.drew2k said:There were quite a few Jeff Phillips at IMDB, so I'm not sure how you narrowed it down to the Soap Actor.
I love Caveman's Crib! I hope that's him and I hope HE will be in the sitcom. I don't think that the concept is doable without him.LoadStar said:Is Jeff Phillips the one in the "Caveman Crib" interactive website?
