A Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Hiatus?

Has anyone seen a report on the status of Colbert and his show?

AFAICT there are no new shows on the schedule for the foreseeable future, and there was no advance word of a planned break. (Although my OnePass believes that next week's shows will be new.)

due to upcoming relaxation of covid restrictions on broadway, i'm hoping he's working on the return of at least a distanced audience - it's been too long...

Pre Trump Fallon was kicking his butt then during all of Trumps term and the election Colbert was a way for people to commiserate and he became number 1. Now that the election is over you can sense he is struggling to define himself. This is one reason I think he has stayed in the office so to speak vs bringing back the studio. Seth Meyer changed his gig to open with the desk and has worked better for him.

Colbert on the other hand came from "The Colbert Report" which is not something he can't do here because it was a fake character. Fallon has a lot of versatility and Kimmel has the man on the street.
Colbert has not found much besides mocking Trump.
I don't really mind the current way, as I don't care for studio audiences. I have trouble hearing and all the noise overtakes the talking for me. But then, it's not about me so I'm cool either way. :)

I really have enjoyed the shows I watch that had live audiences, now being either done in his type scenario, or from home with those separate blocks for guests. It's kind of fun to see the backgrounds of peoples' houses.

As to the subject at hand - I, too, am confused about which episodes are new and which are not. I didn't have an episode for last night and it looked like I'm seeing what the OP is seeing AFA no 'new' guide data coming up.

Super insightful.
fallon is ok, but has always been too smug for my tastes, even though he appears to be a great guy - can't watch him. kimmel is funny, but too tame and needy for me - can't watch him, either. colbert has always been my choice over any of the others, studio or office, before or after trump, and i don't see this changing anytime soon.

I agree that Colbert is more high brow and during times of stress and tragedies Colbert has the best monologues for us to empathize with but Fallon is more versatile and I think does better with non political guests. Fallons kids are also great additions. I enjoyed his walks with his wife Nancy.
Myers
Colbert
Kimmel
Fallon

In that order.

My problem with Jimmy Fallon is he tends to go off on tangents that are NOT funny. His opening segment is usually good. He has the best "pure jokes" segment of anyone. But it's also the shortest. And then he'll often riff with one of the band, or start some back & forth with Higgins that just doesn't work (for me). I've watched him spend 3-4 minutes just freebasing (?) with Tariq on some phrase that strikes his fancy. But not mine. I've learned the minute he finishes his opening monologue, break away. Or if he starts off on a tangent, I break away.

Whereas I watch Colbert's entire opening segment, and usually his 2nd segment if he has one. Meanwhile...

Seth Myers is my favorite. Funny opening segment, rivaling Fallon, and his "A Closer Look" is unbeatable.
I was surprised to see a Colbert rerun last night, it's unheard of for him to have reruns during "May Sweeps", appears to be a rerun tonight as well.
I see that The Late Show is reruns again all week. They just got back from hiatus. I wonder what happened that they would come back for one week and then back on hiatus.
Typical two week hiatus around all the big holidays and Labor day is coming.

Thanks. :) My days are all the same, so I tend to forget about holidays. I just hoped nothing was wrong, since they just came back.
