Restarted my HD TiVo this afternoon and was happy to see I was upgraded to 9.1 (I have a new HD TiVo, not a series 3 - I didn't realize we were getting 9.1 yet).
However, I was disappointed that the Dolby static issue was not resolved... I read on this board that the problem was fixed for series 3 units, but it is still a problem on my HD with 9.1
When connecting to my audio system through the optical, there is an annoying high-pitched static when switching to channels that are broadcasting in DD. I have to keep the TiVo in PCM to avoid the problem. This stinks, because I'd obviously rather hear things in DD5.1 than PCM. Anyone know if there's a better solution?
