To those with 9.1/9.2,

As a current 8.3 user(on a Tivo HD), I am frequently frustrated by the slowness of the Tivo(I previously had an SD Series2 DirecTivo). My question is this: Do the 9.1/9.2 updates bring about significant UI performance improvements? If so, do the updates make the Tivo HD feel (speed-wise) the same was the Series2 Tivos?

Thanks,
Mike

Did you have 8.3 or 8.1 on the Tivo HD. I thought Tivo HD all had 8.1 when it was released, and 9.1 is when the code merged with the S3, so there was no 8.3 on Tivo HD. There was a huge speed improvement from 8.1 to 8.3 that Tivo HD users were missing before. One example is if you did a search by title, each time if you hit a letter, if you had to wait a couple seconds for the list of shows to display, you had 8.1, this was much faster when 8.3 came out. Another case was in the wishlist, if you went into a wishlist and did show upcoming programs, if it took a long time (15-30 sec), then you had 8.1, in 8.3 it was much faster, my wishlist for Scrubs shows 75 shows almost instantaneously, although wishlists involving HD category seem to take longer.
