I'm trying to hack a series 2 130040 that has an 8.3 build on it. I'm installing from a backup on a new 320 GB disk and can get this far with no problem. The network connects through a FA120 and everything works.
When I install the 7.2.2 kernel from the ptv disk I get the network problem so I install the backport drivers but it's not helping - Tivo keeps rebooting after the splash screen if the usb cable is plugged in. I'm using the usbnet-o from usbobj2.4.27-20070328.tar for 2.4.20-8. I've tried installing the support files too and it still doesn't work.
Am I missing something?
