I watched only the kabuki/Ebizo piece. Interesting. I've always been fascinated by Japan and have been there for vacation ~7x but I knew next to 0 about kabuki.

The Matthew Whitaker (blind pianist) piece originally ran in February. That night I discovered that he was scheduled to perform at a small venue in DC the following weekend. Great concert.

The Shakira piece was also a rerun but not something I was particularly interested in watching, so I didn't.

I saw all of those pieces when they originally aired so didn't watch this time around. The Shakira piece was actually quite interesting. She's quite the renaissance woman and is not just some foreigner who had a hit song or two some years ago. She's involved in quite a lot of things. And well, the superficial man in me likes seeing her
