My list:

Luck
House of Lies
Shameless
Alcatraz

I watched the Luck pilot and really liked it. Seemed to be a mixed bag for some but I had no problem following it and I would have guessed it was a Mamet show more than a Milch.

House of Lies looks interesting, mostly because I rather like the two leads. Unfortunately, I don't get Showtime, and I'm not signing up just for that show.

As mentioned in another thread, Smash looks pretty good as well, but I'll have to DVR it because it is up against Castle.
I'm not really looking forward to anything. I will definitely give Luck (I have the pilot on my DVR now for a few weeks, haven't watched it) and Alcatraz a try for sure. Other stuff? not sure yet.
Since I do not get HBO or Showtime, I am looking forward only to Alcatraz from that list.

I'm looking forward to all of these, and Dark Minds

That show with Katherine McPhee. "Smash"
Smash
Alcatraz
Napoleon Dynamite
plus the return of 30 Rock

Well, I will cross Luck off this list. I watched the pilot and was absolutely bored to tears. Maybe it gets better, maybe it doesn't, but I'm just not interested enough in the horse racing scenario and the slow development of the plot to give this another look. That and the fact that it's HBO and I could easily catch up if I hear that it gets "better".
Smash and Alcatraz are the ones that come to mind first.
I hope some of these pan out. The fall was pretty damn good, especially the Sunday night extravaganza of The Amazing Race, Dexter, Walking Dead, Homeland, Boardwalk Empire and Hell on Wheels.
Is this thread for new shows that we're excited about, or also returning shows? I assumed it was to discuss new shows. Everyone knows about the returning shows, so there's not much point in discussing them.

A couple more shows I had forgotten about that I'm planning to check out are:
The River
Awake (doesn't have an air date yet, but reviews have been very good and I like the premise)
Oh yeah, I had forgotten about The River. I am looking forward to that also.
I will have to look up the other one you mentioned - Awake.
Alcatraz

Return of:
30 Rock
Breaking In

I'm going to also checkout:
The River
Missing
Oh yeah, I had forgotten about The River. I am looking forward to that also.
I will have to look up the other one you mentioned - Awake.
The premise of Awake is a guy's wife and son are in a car accident. His wife is killed but his son lives. But when he goes to sleep, he enters a different reality where his son was killed but his wife lived. So he alternates back and forth between these two realities while trying to figure out what's going on and never knowing which reality will become permanent and which family member he's going to lose for good.
From the promos, I thought The River looked awful.

Looking forward to Awake and Touch.
I was hoping for an adventure show not a monster movie.
Alcatraz looks promising.

Nothing else looks appealing to me.

Thanks for the reminder, it made me set it up.
