I've a Premier 4 that I've had Xfinity TV on for years without problems. Recently decided to give the Xfinity OnDemand app a try, but when it tries to play the actual content it comes up with a CableCard screen. I called up Comcast and was told that my model (TCD750500) was not supported for OnDemand but the other Premier/4XL, etc. were. ?!?

Can somebody confirm for me that Xfinity OnDemand works on the TCD750500 so I can get on their case again?

Keep calling back or try the cablecard support line. Make sure the card is properly paired and provisioned.

are you getting premium channels? if so, it's paired

what are you seeing on these screens?:

only so much you can do online with xfinity tool, but login and look to see if your card is showing as paired with the tivo host. if it is, then you still need to call, and then can refresh it - ask them to send a hit to the card - but there is only one number you should call, the dedicated cable card support line as ThAbtO mentioned, otherwise you'll get run around - see this:

if the card is not showing as paired to a host, then you can pair it online. but if it's paired to another host, you need to call.

Yeah I've been using a Premiere 4 for years and never had an issue with the Xfinity app. It's definitely supported. Here is a PDF: https://www.tivo.com/assets/pdfs/CableCARD_Install.pdf

Online tool is new. this was posted ‎07-22-2016:
XFINITY CableCARD Activation and Pairing Online Tool

And I tested it out. And it works. At least for a new activation and pairing, but you can't move host id's around, i.e. pair a card to a different host if it's already paired to a host.

Wouldn't pairing it with a new host ID automatically unpair it with the old one?

yes, but the tool doesn't let you do that. the tool only lets you pair an unpaired card. if the card is paired to a host then you have to call. so the tool is really only good for new cards assigned to the account. or checking how your existing cards and equipment are paired in the comcast system. if you sign in you'll see what I'm talking about.

but if someone can figure out how to do a swap online, I'd love to hear about it. I tried. but I also have paired a fresh card online and it worked. so I'll take that over a phone call
