Sigh. A Spanish edition of Game 6, and a "Game 7" at 11 AM on Thursday on MLBNET, were selected by the One Pass. The guide does not show the games on Fox.

(Maybe MLBNET will be re-running some Game 7 of a prior year on Thursday morning.)

Of course I can record the evenings manually if necessary. (And it seems this year we should pad by at least 3 hours.)

I put 2017 in the subject because it looks like this has happened before. I am being shown "similar threads" from 2016.

The series hasn't been long enough, so they added a game 8? :D

No idea about last year, but this year appears to be FOX's doing. I see game 6 on FOX Tuesday night at 8PM EDT, rerun on MLBNET on Wednesday. Regular FOX schedule on Wednesday night (new episodes of "Empire" and "Star"). Rerun of game 7 on MLBNET on Thursday. Same thing on zap2it.

Oh no :rage:. I hallucinated that the pattern is 3 games, day off, 2 games, day off, 3 games. Too bad I can't fix the Subject.

The actual missing games in my schedule are Tue Game 6, and Wed Game 7.

Now excuse me while I get some rest in this hole I've dug for myself.

No Game 7 in the guide, OTA Los Angeles. That's about as big as it gets, hard to believe.

Last year too. Fox insists on assuming games are not played so their regular shows are in the guide until it is 100% that a game will be played. In the case of some games, that means a late substitution which systems like Tivo cannot handle.

Last year, they put a notice on tivo Central that the game was on and to reconnect if the data was updated on their system.

For those with Hydra, we don’t know what can be done or will be done.

For San Francisco Comcast, it's still not in the Guide as of a forced update I did a few minutes ago. I've set a long manual recording.

It's probably little consolation, but the guide on my Comcast DVR is also wrong. There are countless more cable DVRs in homes than TiVos.

MLB pushing too hard for new revenues, maybe, when Game 8 ends in a tie and the Series has to be decided by a Home Run Derby.

Maybe they are going to go to a 9 game series as it was 1919-1921.

This morning, I went to the website for KTVU (local FOX affiliate in the SF Bay Area) and clicked to look at their TV schedule... and I was redirected to a ROVIcorp domain which still showed 'Empire' and 'Star'. Very annoying that a local affiliate can't enforce the guide service I assume they pay for.

Use "Search" and you can't find game 7 of the WORLD SERIES. Pathetic.
It's risky but you might be able to fake it if you record "Empire" and add three hours. Same problem as a year ago, Rip Van Winkle must be still in charge at TIVO.

This time, a majority of the blame goes to FOX.

My TiVo guide, which is Comcast Houston, was updated with the correct info ("World Series Game 7 Astros beat Dodgers" is the description) sometime between 9am and noon today.

I guess the Dodgers also thought there was a game 8, since they didn't bother to show up for game 7.
