    How do other experienced TiVo users use the wishlist function?

    Can wishlist:

    Record by Oscar winners?
    Best pictures?
    Genre like drama or comedy?
    Certain channels?
    Record only, eliminate stream options?

    The standard WL function doesn't have Oscar winners or pictures, nor a specific channel setting. It has the ability to set:

    * Keyword
    * Title Keyword
    * Actor
    * Director
    * Category (you asked about genre, this would be it)

    For all but Category, you can have multiple entries, and use Boolean logic (AND, NOT, etc).

    You're only limited by your imagination (and the above, of course). For example, I've gone on a Woody Allen kick, and set it to record all his movies. Same with Audrey Hepburn. My most common use is by Keyword. I may want, for example, any show that has the word "hippos" in the title or description. So I'll make a WL for just that. You have the option to make it auto-record, or not. If it's not AR, then you need to review it regularly to see if you have any hits.

    Put in what you want to record and it will record it for you automatically.

    There are showcases that come close to covering some of the items you want to record. AFI top 100 films comes to mind.

    I did a Woody Allen Wish List also. :) Currently I have one for Fritz Lang.

    Thanks all! Was hoping it was more intuitive but then again it's not AI.
