Will a HD10-250 work with a "non HDTV"?

    I have had D*TV and my old tivo unit, after 4 years of hard work, eventually broke down. To make a long story short, I have just purchased through e-bay, a D*TV HD10-250 on the assumption that it would work with my old TV which is not a HD TV thinking I could select the 408i format and could make it work.

    Well its not working and since it is a machine purchased through e-bay, I am not sure if the unit is defective or simply that this model does not work with non HD TVs.

    Advise is highly appreciated.

    It should work with Non_HDTVs. Make sure you are using the composite outputs (red white and yellow) and set at 480i.

    You could also use the SVideo ouput, or composite video output. It should work fine set to output 480i standard definition video.
