Advertisements After the discussion in the first 24 thread about the Chicago/Carolina game running over, I thought I'd take a look at the ratings for this week and fill everyone in. The good news: even though it started 13 minutes late, the first part of the 24 season premiere got its highest ratings ever (17.0 rating), and finished in 10th place for the week (http://www.usatoday.com/life/television/nielsen.htm) The bad news: considering that was its highest rating ever, and the most watched show of the week on Fox, it's got no chance of ever supplanting the NFL and revisiting the Heidi game. The reason? The total ratings for the NFL this weekend ran 78.6 (an average of 19.7 for the four games). If you take out the New England/Denver game, which had a rating of 26.3 and finished first for the week, the remaining 3 games still averaged a 17.4 rating.
