If you go the Tivo.com/Products/Tivo BOLT, the "Tech Specs"/Product Compatibility states:
    • Expandable storage (eSATA)
As an original "expander" user from the Series 3 days, it was rather disappointing to discover as a new BOLT owner that the expanders are no longer sold and general eSATA enclosures remain incompatible. (I understand I could still use my old one but that's highly not recommended around here.)

Isn't Tivo stepping awfully close (or into) false advertising territory by continuing to state/claim that the BOLT is expandable when it's clearly NOT?

Advertising is misleading. Alert the media!

Anyway, it is expandable. My one of my Bolts, for example, has been expanded to 10 TB. You can argue the details and problems, but the eSATA expansion is nevertheless a thing. But take heart! There is still plenty other TiVo stuff to complain about.
