I have to admit this is my summer guilty pleasure.
It's so bad it's good.
I'm with you on that, it seems to have hit the same cheese factors it had last summer.
I enjoyed the aqueduct task, since it actually was physical,
The warehouse task was fun since you knew they had additional tasks outside and they were missing it. (did none of them watch last years show?)
The show could do without all the cheesy effects.
It's an entertaining show though, it's fun.
favorite moment of the week?
the poor dog shots with him giving those sad lonely looks as he was ignored..
exactly the cheese factor I love
I think my favorite was the two Asian women who were working when they entered the lair and the sub-titles for their conversation were "oh no they're back again"
- "i thought i told you to change the locks."
I enjoyed watching the show last year, and then I got the comic book and was very disappointed. It seemed like there were so potential, and then what I got was just a lame tie-in with the show, with no originality in the storyline at all. So I haven't watched this year's episodes yet.
There's only 1 episode so far.
If you're interested, Feedback is around to dork it up at the beginning.
I've never heard of this show. Sounds interesting.
Just added it to my queue. It better be good! lol
It was so cheesy but fun! What I love about this show is the tasks always have hidden agendas.
The gal, Trish, the movie star gal was on the Greg Berenhardt show awhile back because of her squeeky voice and pink clothing and unstable personality. Makes me wonder.
I'll say it again Don - it's SOOOOOO bad it's good.
I agree I watch it because it is so bad it is good.
I think it is pretty scripted though and most if not all of the people on the show are actors (albeit pretty much unknown actors).
I think from last year monkey girl (not sure if that was her name or not) and feedback (who won) are both actors. I think the big guy from last year who got booted and became the villain was an actor too.
Well the main prize is to star in a movie on the SciFi channel, so it doesn't surprise me that the contestants chosen to appear on the show are actors/have acting experience.
Seems like some of the contestants on BB, Survivor, Amazing Race ,etc use the show to start a career in acting. Seems like quite a few on WWTBAS already have acting careers (weak ones though)!
Knowing that feedback has done quite a bit of small parts on TV shows makes those tears he shed last year even more cheesy (when he told Stan Lee how he wanted Stan to be proud of him).
They should go to Comic-con and find some real people who truly want to be a superhero.
Here an interesting blog on the "fake" aspect.
Regardless I watch this show because it is so bad it is good.
I don't know why I'm watching it again this year.
Oh yeah! Basura has a nice rack!
That was definitely a highlight...too bad it's over.
Her mom sure does dress her funny when she's not in costume though.
Oh. I've only seen the first episode.
Ahh, sorry...for some reason I thought this was an entire season discussion.
I laughed when I saw this season. At least one was an actor. The one girl was on the Greg Barnherdt morning show asking help becasue she had a mickey mouse sounding voice and wore nothing but pink. She was a blonde there. Puffy cheeks, big boobs, fair skin.
Kind of sad because I had two friends that actually auditioned down in DC for this.
