So how many season passes/wishlists are currently programed into your Tivo?
I don't know but I will guess 25-30.
I'll count if it really gets close..but I think I must have more than 300 on one of mine.
There are a number of movies that I don't want to miss if they are ever on. I have a wishlist for each of them.
Holy crap....300! I didnt think it would be anywhere near this many!
I knew I wasn't even in the running with less than 45 season pass / auto-recording wishlists. (Only 2 auto-recording wishlists)
Although partly that is because I turned off auto-recording on a bunch of my "hopeful" wishlists. So if I counted those as well it would be more like 100. (By "hopeful", I mean shows or episodes I'd like to see again, but don't expect to see soon.)
Tivo #1 has 129.
Tivo #1 has 129 too.. Wow, that's a big coincidence, since there's almost no overlap. (A few months ago I finally made most of my musician/band wishlists appear only on one Tivo so I'd have fewer unimportant things to nuke from the To Do list.. I don't want to make them first run only, but I have to nuke a lot of SNL reruns for example.)
Each has some dead shows, like The apprentice martha stewart -- oh ok, Tivo #1 now has 128.
But other shows like Project Greenlight, E Hollywood Hold 'Em. The oldest dead SP I have is for "Under One Roof", an OK reality show that UPN nuked without showing all of it!
Tivo - 133
Sony - 112
Toshiba - 18
All unique to allow for conflict resolution.
It must take alot of time for the TIVO the redo its database when you add or move a seasons pass with so many of them programmed. NO?
Okay I'm the noob on this site and new to Tivo.
I have 5 all programmed just today.
Gotta start somewhere right!
rock you are not alone. I am a newbie too and I can say I have 5 season passes, I have not yet learned, figured out what a wish list is.....and how to work it, but I may be checking it out next....
I checked tonight and I have about 380 wishlists on my old Series 1. Moving the bottom one up one spot took about 3 minutes before the menu came back.
(Of course, there may be additional processing time in background.)
Of course, there are very few matches to these wishlists since I'm using them to spot the next running of specific movies.
My old Series1 TiVo DVR is my primary movie-recording DVR. On it, I have Advanced WishLists so that I can have a single WishList for recent movies, one for movies with B-movie stars, one for movies with seyuu, one for movies with directors I like, and so forth.
My wife has 65 season passes in our Family Room Tivo. Personally I cannot find enought time in a week to watch that many shows. 300+, you folks must never remove the remote from your hand.
Well, that's true, but not because of the 380 wishlists. I'm watching for movies that I want to see...I may only find one or two a week.
I have 37 season passes set up on my living room Tivo and my grand-daughter has 11 on her Tivo which is in our family room (mylie cyrus, disney, etc.). I find it quite difficult to watch what is being recorded now, I cannot imagine how long it takes to watch everything if you have 300+ season passes! Seems like overkill to me. I am a newbie who just purchased a hacked Tivo and am trying to learn what it will and will not do and how to do some of the hacking myself but most of what I read is pure gibberish to me. This forum needs a strictly newbie thread where a person can read up on what they need to do and how to do it in purely laymans terms.

I have current about 65 SPs, and that's after trimming them down from about 80 or so.
A better question is how many SP do you have for active programs. I have a number of SPs and WLs for shows that were canceled years ago, just in case they come back.
She posted that message 1 week after she joined TCF, which was about two weeks before you joined.
