All TPs (except the TPXL) are $99 or less, that not the big cost, it's the $19.99/month for the TiVo service. Amazon.com just had the TP for about $50 for a day now its its back to about $83. If you already have an older TiVo on your TiVo account you may be able to get a TP with Lifetime for about $470 from the TiVo upgrade program, that the best deal i know about for a new TP.

I agree with lessd. Your upgrade offers are the best deals. Check your account on TiVo.com there are different upgrade offers for TiVos with lifetime versus ones that you are paying monthly/annually on.

    Good Luck,

At least for the first 12 months. Beyond that no one actually knows anything for sure.

The OP asked for the best deals now, not some time in the future. A year from now maybe Lifetime will be $199 for all and the TP back up to $299 so in that case buy a TP now and wait, but that answer is not what the OP asked.

Yes, that is what the OP asked for.
However I fail to see why you were compelled to make that statement.

Buy a Moxi.. $20 a month for guide data is insane. Tivo thinks they were losing customers before......

TiVo has a refurb link on their homepage. When I got my refurb on woot i was able to get the $12.95 rate for sub. Ivan assuming the TiVo refurb units would also be eligible for the non-$19.95 sub.

Why post bull sh** like this? Anyone with 1/2 a brain knows the $19.99/mo isn't just for "guide data".

Not that someone shouldn't consider a Moxi if they want a cable only DVR. But lets be honest it isn't cheaper for an existing TiVo customer with upgrade offers who is only looking for a DVR for 1 TV. At least the last time I looked $469 or $500 (for a TiVo with lifetime through upgrade offers) was less than $599 (cost of a Moxi DVR).

    Thanks,

Yeah, Moxi works great with over the air HDTV. Oh wait, it doesn't work at all with free OTA HDTV.

Remind me again how much cheaper the Moxi is than a TiVo Premiere with lifetime service?

Only because people were talking about what may happen a year from now with the $19.99/month price, that has nothing to do with the best deal now is on a TP.
