Depends on your mood, but for a quick watch comedy, I'd vote Silicon Valley. If your in the mood for a drama, I'd say Fargo S1 or Orphan Black (especially S1). The others I've either watched and didn't like, or just don't have a big interest in.

Looking for quality of any genre, and a series to watch fully, not just an episode. Thanks for your thoughts

Justified is a great series. Boyd Crowder is a really interesting character.

Orange is the New Black is a good show. I find it interesting that seasons 2 & 3 delve deeper into the supporting characters individual histories.

    Definitely recommend Fargo.

I discovered that Fargo is on Netflix in Ireland the night before flying home, for which I kicked myself (your US account gets you the Irish catalog in Ireland - who knew?). Then I discovered that Season 1 was on the on-demand video on the plane, so I binge watched 5 or 6 episodes. Fargo is worth your time.

    Bloodline (Netflix original)
    Rectify (streaming on Netflix)
    Transparent (Amazon original)
    Peaky Blinders (streaming on Netflix)

All great, but I'd especially recommend Bloodline. Certainly not for everyone, though.

Of the "under consideration" ones, Veep and Orphan Black are the best. Of the entire list, Justified is the best. Arrested Development is also very good (but odd). The Shield is excellent as well.

I really, REALLY didn't like Transparent, and I see nothing in your list (Marco) that would lead me to believe you would like it either. But, others loved it so what do I know.

The Shield is by far the best show on your list (IMO).

For both The Shield and Orphan Black, if the pilots don't reel you in, the show isn't for you. These aren't the type of shows where you have to watch several episodes to get a feel for the show.

It really depends on your mood. SV, Veep, and AD are all excellent comedies and should all be watched at some point.

Fargo is only one season so far and the story was self contained, so that's an excellent choice if you want to start and finish something relatively quickly. Orphan Black S1 is great. S2 and S3 weren't as good, but I'm still watching.

The Shield and Justified are definitely the biggest projects you have on your list (89 and 79 episodes, respectively), so if you want something to last you for a long time, many people consider The Shield to be among the best TV dramas ever made.

Fargo is very good (and short)

I'm currently watching Veep now (just started S3). It's very funny, and the episodes fly by. I'm going to watch Silicon Valley next.

Yeah. I'm guilty of thinking "I want to check out The Shield" for several YEARS now without acting on it.

If you like the gritty type of crime drama, the Shield is definitley for you. For me it sort of set the bar for the non subscription basic cable network shows (there's got to be a better way to refer to the channels I'm talking about).
