What is the largest hard drive that can be put in the Pioneer 810h? I went from a 80GB then to a 250Gb and now a 320GB. Has anyone ever tried a 500GB or 750GB? 1TB?

320GB hard drive hours you get on Tivo:
    Fine: 72 hours
    High: 138 hours
    Medium: 281 hours
    Basic EP: 422 hours

I've been using InstantCake to prepare the drives and it works great!

Both Weaknees and Dvrupgrade have 750gb drives for this unit.

Don't know if ide(PATA) drives larger than that are even available, anywhere, for any purpose.

    So the answer, 750gb.

    Ok I tried a 500GB:

500GB hard drive hours you get on Tivo:
    Fine: 114 hours
    High: 219 hours
    Medium: 447 hours
    Basic EP: 671 hours

The 1 TB drive is SATA only for now. I bought a Western Digital (green )one for my PC. I bought a few ATA to SATA adapters. Do I dare try a 1 TB on the Pioneer 810h. Will the adapter damage it?
