I was getting a 4x3 SD image on the NBC HD feed last night (great Tiger run by the way!). I called Comcast and the message before the call was even picked up said that "due to technical issues, the broadcast is in SD". I got through and the person said something like "the network made a choice to braodcast in SD".

Anyone actually get an HD feed? Was it just a line of Comcrap and maybe they Fubared the feed?

So clearly, it was not a "network choice". F Comcast.

I am going to do a chat and see what they say occurred.......

My Comcast HD feed was fine throughout the broadcast.

Interestingly, I was checking my cable straight to the TV connection (basketball will be live on Tuesday since the other tuners will be booked).

It looks like I do not have the analog locals (or some of them) any more. Did local comcast go all digital already? They can't go yet, can they? I don't remember any notice (of course not an issue with the TiVoHD and CCs).

Probably just some weird stuff going on.

My Charter feed (Central MA) was in SD too. You weren't alone.

    Gotta love "Customer Support".

I did not want them re-hitting my CC. I think there was a local problem with the feed and not an issue with my CC. I double check tonight. I also am not home so a rehit would be a problem since I am not there to reread pairing info.

Excellent. I mean, it is good to know there was some regional thing going on.

Was there any bad weather in your area last night? Something that would cause the station to put on a weather scroll or map overlay?

Looks like you were talking to a computer. I don't believe there was an actual person behind that dialogue on the other end.

I think it was a real person, but I don't think that the person is in the U.S. and I think they work from a script. They don't know what to do with anything that doesn't fit the script.

Well, I checked my feed last night and the HD was fine. Definitely NOT a problem that would have requried a "hit" to my CC.

    Frickin' Comcrap.

Though I do like paying just $10.05/mo and being able to get HD.
