I know DH is shown this time of year, but somehow I don't think it captures the spirit of Christmas. :D

The last couple of years I've added Rare Exports to my holiday viewing list. It's a Finnish evil Santa Claus horror movie. It's available on Netflix streaming.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is our only real must watch.

Although, Die Hard sounds like a good idea. :)

I've been watching a number of the Hallmark Christmas movies recently. Speaking of "The Christmas Story", our local community theater is putting it on and I'm going Saturday night. I love that movie and am really looking forward to the play! :)

I have a friend who's never seen Christmas Vacation. That was an easy present.

A coworker today said the same. I'm loaning her my Christmas Vacation DVD so she can watch. She didn't know what I was talking about when I said "Halleluhah, Holy Feces!"

I've lately only been into a couple of Christmas movies. I've only seen Elf twice maybe, so I'll watch that again. And I love A Christmas Story, so I'll Tivo it and watch it.

I remember when Elf was in the theaters. I saw the promo for it and thought it looked like the stupidest thing I ever saw. Then I saw it about two years ago and laughed my butt off. Will Ferrell plays his role so sincerely that it's a joy to watch him.

If some of the other Christmas movies are on when I flick the TV on, I'll probably watch them. My mom keeps the TV tuned onto Lifetime or the Hallmark channel or something, so there's usually some syrupy sweet special on that I try to avoid, but I'll sit down for the classics (Charlie Brown, A Miracle on 34th Street, etc.).

I always thought Will Ferrell would be a really cool guy to hang out with and drink beer with and play golf with. I only saw a couple of episodes of SNL with him on it and thought he wasn't too awful. But, damn, every movie I've seen with him as the star has sucked ass. Elf, Anchorman, Back to School, Bewitched, Talledaga, all ass sucks. I want him to come over to the house again to drink my home brew but no more films.

I was helping my friend decorate her tree and I said I thought I saw a squirrel. She had no idea what I was talking about.
