What can/can't the TiVos with cable cards get/do?

    If you did just a little bit of searching, you would find people have very different abilities depending on their location and service provider. The only provider that seems to be consistent on a national level (or at least all of their service areas) is Verizon FIOS. The rest of the providers have different rules and system setups depending on where you live. I believe most of this is due to mergers where Verzion FIOS built their system from scratch.

    It's been 9 months and no dates have been announced yet. The first Comcast/Tivo deal took place in 2005. We didn't see a product until 2008 in only one market and it was never expanded. I wouldn't hold my breath on this happening anytime soon.

    Whether or not it happens isn't the issue, which is why I quoted a specific paragraph from a specific post. I want lrhorer to read and comment on them.
