Hmm.. if i stick to 1 hour dramas I can only think of 2:

    Battlestar Galactica
    Lost

Seriously people- even if you think you don't like sci-fi - try out Battlestar Galactica - all the people I know who "hate sci-fi" who I got to watch it are now addicted

Absolutely. My wife, brother-in-law and sister-in-law all hate Sci-Fi and they grudgingly agreed to watch the show and are now addicted. It is beyond the best show on TV-it's the best show on TV in the last 10 years.

In keeping with the topic at hand, in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, Stephen King has an article on his "TV addictions" and he lists his six favorite shows.

    The Shield
    Veronica Mars
    Lost
    Battlestar Galactica
    The Sopranos
    24

The new issue of EW also has a cover story on the Best of Television in 2006 and all six of those shows made the list of the 10 best dramas.

Using the March 1 deadline from the OP it would be:
    SP #2 Stargate SG-1
    SP #3 Stargate Atlantis
    SP #4 Battlestar Galactica
SP #5 CSI: Crime Scene Investigation
    SP #6 Scrubs

(#1 season pass is for Firefly; which isn't even airing repeats at the moment, although it did run some earlier in the month)
Taking a stricter definition of now (i.e. dropping those shows which have had their season finale as of today) it would be
SP #5 CSI: Crime Scene Investigation
    SP #6 Scrubs
    SP #7 NCIS
    SP #8 Veronica Mars
    SP #9 The West Wing

I'm really surprised by the number of posters to list Stargate - Atlantis as one of their top 5 shows. With its horrible actors, its almost the antithesis of Battlestar Galactica. Is it the storylines that everyone likes or are most of you just junkies for anything scifi? I'm not trying to antagonize here, just curious. After all, the original Star Trek was one of my favorite shows of all time and there's not a single person that can act among the original cast. Well, maybe Nimoy a little bit.

    Let's see in my House -- 1HDTV, 4Analog sets, 2 DirecTivo, 1 Tivo, 4 LD players, 4 DVD's, 3 SVHS VCR's

Because TV shows aren't the only thing to watch? Mostly movies and sports on my menu particularly once Baseball season starts and Extra Innings package gets used extensively (can easily say 350-400 games a season isn't exaggerating).

I was also assuming this is current runs episodic TV shows --
Battlestar Galactica is likely the only current show I watch without fail.

Ughh, well -- after that it goes downhill fast
House if I haven't seen it.
    Numbers occasionally.

CSI/Bones/Without a Trace/Cold Case -- if I happen to run across it in High Def. I'm not sure I'd watch too many SD showing.

I have never seen an episode or Survivor, Idol, First Date, Apprentice, Amazing Race and all the the other pseudo Reality stuff. Since that seems to about 80% of new TV shows and then throw in stuff like Friends/Seinfield/Raymond and the like and I gave up on most serial shows long ago. The only current comedies I can stand are Two and Half Men and How I Met Your Mother, but I'll admit I rarely even look for them on the schedule.

For the most part, I'm just as likely to be watching Classic Law and Order or SVU, Star Trek any vintage, old Twilight Zone or Outer Limits, MASH, Quantum Leap, and if any channel would show them Highlander and Sliders.

Maybe they were such great actors that they all simultaneously acted like they couldn't act. Maybe not.
