Journeyman strikes me as the one with the most promise, but also most likely to be screwed up.

Chuck and Bionic Woman (sadly) were very "meh, as long as they don't conflict".

Moonlight, possibly the worst pilot I have seen this century. I could smell its stink within minutes but suffered through "just in case".

Hrm. I liked Reaper and Life. I have hopes for Journeyman and maybe Chuck. Big Bang Theory got some laughs so I'm keeping it for now. I'm also still hopeful for Bionic Woman but the first ep was not good. Back to You is on life support.

I haven't watched Cane or Dirty Sexy Money yet, because I think the wife might like to see them. I haven't seen any leaked pilots so I don't know about Pushing Daisies.

I gave up on Private Practice without even watching it, and deleted my Grey's Anatomy SP to boot... even though I'll miss me some Katherine Heigl :(.

Does Mad Men count? That is by far better than anything I have seen the "nets" come out with and with Dexter starting tonight I it gets better and better.

As far as the "nets" go though I am digging:

    Life
    Reaper
    Chuck
    Big Bang
    Dirty Sexy Money

Some of the ones I am looking forward to have not started yet though:

    Pushing Daisies
    Samantha Who?
    Miss/Guided
    Return of Jezebel James
    Sarah Connor Chronicles

Ah, right. Forgot about Mad Men.

Best show in a long time.

But Back to You is the best comedy in a long time. Shows a lot of promise, especially given Burrows and Grammer are working together on it again (as on Cheers and Frasier).

Liked Reaper, Bionic Woman (more than I expected - it will probably be cancelled), Life, Private Practice, and Journeyman. I have high hopes for Moonlight (I just like vampire shows), Dirty Sexy Money, Big Shots, and Pushing Daisies.

I did not like Cane - I was so bored 5 minutes into I deleted the SP. Big Bang Theory was okay, had some funny parts in the pilot, but really not worth the energy for me to watch. My husband is looking forward to Cavemen (which means I'll watch). I decided to record K-Ville, which was not on my original list, after hearing people like it.

I already have a ton of shows that I already watch, so I'm probably going to quickly whittle the list of new shows that will make my must watch down to a half-dozen or so.

That kid nation looks horrible to me.

But of course, kids annoy me.

But so does reality (so called) TV.

Kids annoy me a lot too in general, and I really had NO plan to watch that show. But I decided to check it out to see what all the controversy was about, and after a friend recommended it. I found out that the kids they cast for this were culled from gifted programs and are really smart and fun to watch. Not whiny and bratty (well OK, except the beauty queen who won't wash dishes!) like I had expected. They kind of remind me of myself as a kid, and I think it would have been fun to participate in such an "experiment".

    Favorites are underlined.

Back To You - Went from a show we didn't plan to watch even one episode of to a favorite.

Big Shots - It was just okay, but we were warned that the show sounded better on paper than it really was.

Bionic Woman - A real disappointment. We'll stick with it for now, but this is no Alias. Ryan is no Garner, and that's a big part of the problem.

Chuck - Another case of a show we didn't plan to watch even one episode of to a favorite. (Good thing we had some extra downtime this weekend.)

Dirty Sexy Money - Overall, pretty mediocre. Krause is the best part of the show, which is good, but good enough? Dunno yet.

Journeyman - I can see how the average viewer would have gotten pretty sorely confused by the pilot. It shows promise, but it isn't a favorite at this point.

Life - I have no idea why we selected this show from its description. It didn't sound like much. However, we were right about it. It's very good.

Moonlight - If this turns into a soapy romance drama, then it could very well become a favorite. If it remains just a genre PI show, it'll end up in the trash heap.

Private Practice - A disappointment, because I thought Kate Walsh could really carry this show. In the end, it looks like it could succeed on the strength of co-star Amy Brenneman. Almost a favorite, but not quite.

Reaper - Cute, a little funny, perhaps, but my wife and I simply do not see what so many reviewers see in this show. Bleh. At this point, among all these shows, this is the one we punt if we run out of time, or need to insert an additional show (like Life is Wild, when it starts).

    -----

    Added later:

    Big Bang Theory - Horrible.

    -----

Still to see: Life is Wild and Pushing Daisies.

Totally agree here. I cannot understand what people (and reviewers) see in this show. It's poorly acted, poorly written and poorly produced. I deleted the SP after the pilot. Typical CW crap...

Yeah, it's weird because I can't believe how many people are liking Back to You! That show is, to me, just a mediocre, standard sitcom, and it doesn't even have an original premise as a "hook". The only things it has going for it are the weather girl, Montana (no that's not a typo :p )

IMO, Reaper was many times funnier than Back to You. I guess it really is just a taste thing: I really liked Lucky Louie as well so apparently I don't have any ;)

For me, it's the supernatural thing. There have been SEVERAL shows that did it so much better (buffy, angel, supernatural, ghost whisperer, Simpsons (have you seen the halloween episodes?)). And they all have some humor, as well.

I do like the Jack Black look-alike guy tho. Funny.

That's exactly what I thought.... but then I watched it and found myself laughing out loud, several times -- much more so than with any other sitcom these days. And with sitcoms, that's really all that matters to me.

    Oh gosh.

Thanks for admitting that. It does help put your comments in perspective! :)
