It is well established that revolvers in TV and movies can shoot up to forty times without reloading.

You'd better go and watch that scene again. Only 7 bullets are in the gun with two empty holes, and they showed him firing 10 times.

I only counted 9 bullets plus the large shell, but yeah, they only show him loading the 7 bullets into the outer ring.

I don't think she can't see it. I think we saw that same scene in two different time frames, just like the scene where we saw her get shot and then not get shot.

IIRC, we were in the MiB time frame when we saw her move some clothes around in the with drawer, look at the gun, and then look in the mirror for a few seconds. Then she did exactly the same thing with the clothes again and didn't see the gun. Then we cut to a shot of William. My theory is she saw the gun in MiB's time frame, and when she looked in the mirror we cut back to William's time frame (during which the gun was not there).

Still, she seemed puzzled by its absence. So if that's what's happening, then her memory is somehow bleeding from one instance to another...

Agreed, but she also seemed momentarily puzzled by being shot/not shot.

Why was the security dude cutting off the Stray's head?

Because they wanted to analyze his memories/programming to understand what happened, but it wasn't feasible to take the whole body

The "not feasible to take the whole body" thing wasn't obvious to me. I guess... but how do they get all the other hosts back to the shop? They must have a pretty good system established and I'm not sure why wanderboy was different.

He was in a crevasse, as I recall.

Yeah, I get that too. But in all their history do they never have people fall into crevasses or wells or outhouses? Just seemed strange and barbaric to take a saw to the guy's neck. Even if they had to remove his noggin, wouldn't they have better tools than that?!?!

I think that was part of the point of that scene, to show that the staff views the hosts as nothing more than machines, and it's reflected in the type of tools they use to deal with them.
