Back up to 48% or so, so feeling a little less stressed about it all. But the NBA is back on, and the Lakers playing 4x a week pretty much due to the compressed schedule is going to cause significant issues with trying to stay on top of shows. I still haven't watched a second of House, Grimm, or Person of Interest - those look to be summer shows now.

What is this Elite? Is it a TiVo or something else? If it's a TiVo, does it have the same UI as the Premiere?

Four tuners is nice, but does it have a way to output two things at once? I have my house wired up so that any of the TiVos can be viewed on any of the TVs, so it's nice to have two separate TiVos so that someone in Room 1 can watch something different than someone in Room 2. That can't be done with a single conventional TiVo, regardless of how many tuners or how much storage space.

I assume you don't venture out of the Now Playing forum very much?

I think I have around 175 shows on my DVR. One bad thing with being so behind is that I can't read much anymore on this forum because I'm way behind the current show threads.

Now Playing and Happy Hour. Almost never go to Coffee House. I looked on TiVo's site and see that it's a Premiere Elite. Seems like you'd have more versatility with two Premiere XLs rather than one Premiere Elite.

I'm in the same boat. The shows I am caught up on don't get much discussion here.

I guess it depends on your current setup. If you already have an S3 or S4, adding an Elite may make more sense. It's also cheaper to get one Lifetime Elite ($900-$1,000) rather than two XL's ($1,500).

But you'd have even MORE versatility with TWO Elites than you have now. :D

Did you use an HDMI Matrix Switcher? That's my next upgrade. We use ChannelMaster right now but only the TV in the LR gets HD with that set up.

IF speculation holds true, the TiVo Preview could be released for retail.
It would be a perfect complement to an Elite and one step closer to a whole home solution.
Similar to what DirecTV is doing with the HR34.

As you've figured out, the Elite is a version of the Premiere. Biggest diff--four tuners instead of two. Plus cable only, not OTA. And only comes with a 2TB hard drive. It is on the same UI as any other Premiere*.

Four tuners, for those of use who watch TV, I mean really watch TV, is a godsend. Just F'ing unbelievably cool.

We don't have your particular TV/room issue, so the two output concern doesn't bother us. My wife has her TiVo (S3) and has two TVs she watches on (both able to view her S3), I have my Elite (used to be S3 also) and only one TV. But I can see the issue for you.

*Note for the nitpickers--there was an update recently pushed out that gave the Elite a slightly different version. But now they are all (Premieres and Premiere Elites) being moved to 20.0.
