I've only watched the first 2 episodes, but it's ok so far... I mostly wanted to watch it because Alan Tudyk was on it. :) I'm hoping he has more screen time in future eps than he did in those. ;) I can't say that I'm that crazy about the other actors, other than the girl playing the daughter.

Tudyk is definitely a supporting player in the show. There are some he definitely has a much larger role in than the first two episodes.

How can I tell how much space I really have? I did turn off my Suggestions but am not sure how that showed me anyway.

Okay, I guess I sort of knew this, but was hoping there was another way. I usually keep my RD count at around 25 - 30 shows - but some of those are movies 2 hours long and some are 1/2 hour sitcoms. I also have some Do No Delete shows - maybe 15-20 hours of those.

It's just something you have to go by general feel and (for me) keeping mental tabs on how many shows are in the lists (I only record HD, so I just keep tabs on the HD list and the Suggestions) and how many "oddball" shows I have built up (30 min sitcoms or Cake Boss built up means that my HD show list can get higher before I worry... 2 hour recordings means that I have to worry sooner).

In other news, I finally pulled the plug when I saw that Terra Nova tonight was another 2 hour episode on my already too full TiVo. I figure if I really want to watch it I can rent it on Netflix when the DVDs come out or something.

I'm still way behind. Of the shows I've been saving...
I've finished season 5 of Supernatural.
I'm behind watching Saturday Night Live by about 50 episodes.
I still haven't watched any episodes of Community, Modern Family, or Terra Nova.
I also have some episodes from Dead Like Me and Reaper lingering on my computer hard drive.

I'm only about five weeks behind on "regular" shows. Even for this time of year that's amazing!

Not counting a boatload of Eureka, Warehouse 13, and Dr. Who from the summer.

Just watched the whole season of "Modern Family". Dang that's a good show! I actually LAUGHED a couple of times! Glad I finally got around to watching one. That show has now been promoted to the "A List". ;)

I now have 27 suggestions in my folder. I can't remember the last time I had that many... :p

I think I need to give up on some shows and just give in to the realization that, even though I like them, I just don't have enough time to watch them. I have become so backlogged on some shows while trying to stay somewhat current on the network shows.

    20 eps of Haven
    30 eps of Sanctuary
    30 eps of NCIS
50 eps of Star Wars: The Clone Wars
    15 eps of Eureka

I have recorded but have yet to watch a single episode this season of:

    Nikita
    Chuck
    American Horror Story
    Hell on Wheels
    Fringe
    Homeland
    Justified (2 seasons)

I'm catching up on a full season each of Firefly, Sons of Anarchy, and Breaking Bad plus a few stragler episodes of other shows still airing new episodes.

Down to just a few episodes of:

    Covert Affairs (1 ep)
    Burn Notice (3 ep)
    Hell on Wheels (3 ep)
    Up All Night (3 ep)
    Terra Nova (1 2hr ep)

    Cleaned off a bunch of:

    Covert Affairs (4 episodes)
    Chuck (3 episodes)
    The Good Wife (2 eps)
    Last Man Standing (2 eps)
Eureka and Warehouse 13 (Christmas episodes)

I also have a few mini-series I want to watch that I have recorded including Prohibition on PBS and a George Harrison one from HBO. Guess I have about a week and a half until the series start up again.

Small world. I finally watched the George Harrison shows (2 2-hour recordings) this past weekend. Great stuff. Lots of interviews with all sorts of people--from Harrison himself, to Clapton and Patti Boyd and the Wilbury gang to McCartney to... you get the picture. You also get an amazing glimpse into his spiritual side.

    Plus the soundtrack ain't bad.:)

You people think you have problems? I also have a Dune media player with 8 TB of storage with over 200 HD movies on it that I don't know how I'll ever watch plus two DVRs with two gig external drives. Perhaps when I am old and broken down I can watch more than an hour or two of TV per day and catch up.

This week one of the DVRs dipped under 20% so I started cleaning it up. First I got rid of some old football games and other shows I watched and forgot to delete, then deleted about 20 episodes of Bones and 10 of 20/20 that I'll never get to and other odds and ends to get my free DVR 1 space close to 35%.

I have 20 episodes of criminal minds and 20 episodes of the mentalist sitting there. I like both those shows but not enough to do a marathon viewing so not sure what to do with them other then to let them sit for now. If I could transfer them to my Media player which allows me to add unlimited redundant storage that would be perfect.

I just finished survivor today so that got rid of more stuff.

For me football gets in the way of a lot of TV show watching during the peak new episode season, then when football is over American Idol comes on and chews up most of my TV watching time, then summer hits and it's big brother 3 days a week and baseball games. I almost want to clear both DVRs and start clean.

I'm not nearly in some of the above boats, but I do have a choice to make. I'm 5 episodes behind on CSI:Vegas and Raising Hope. I don't want to delete them, but I don't ever seem to be in a mood to watch them.

CSI may go anyway. I didn't watch last season and only considered jumping back on for Danson... but even he may not be enough to suck me back in.

For me it's baseball and hockey. I watch NFL games on Sunday, and if the Giants are on, Monday night. The reason I'm backed up so bad is because of the baseball post season and I'm still recovering from that. Add in 3-4 hockey games a week that I watch, and that leaves only 3-4 nights for me to catch up on my viewing. With winter here and less outdoor stuff to do, I'll catch up some on the weekends, if family stuff doesn't encroach. I used to always catch up during the summer, but there seems to be some good TV on in the summer these days.

Raising Hope is still good...I'd get rid of CSI (but I'm not a fan of that type of show, so that decision is an easy one for me). Besides RH will probably take you less than 2 hrs to watch all 5 episodes :)
