Also, I thought Manhattan was living his life backwards and couldn't be surprised? How is 7K going to hide their plans to kill Manhattan from him? Or are they trying the same trick that Veidt did? But how did they know? Did Veidt tell them?

He's not living backwards; he's just outside of time, so it's all happening at once for him.

Your point, of course, still stands. I'm willing to trust the writers until or unless they screw up. ;)

I hope the explanation isn't that he didn't see these events because that would be tacky on this show just like last time.

Last time? I think in Leftovers he learned his lesson from Lost...if we're talking about Damon Lindelof. And this show seems even more tightly constructed than Leftovers.

You know... last "time" ... when he couldn't see events... when it was tachyons. Tachyon, tacky on.

Manhattan didn't know what was happening while in the Angela's "husband's" body, when she "broke him out" she said "Hey baby, we're in #$%&'n trouble.
My guess he was in some sort of stasis inside that disk

Will we see a Will Reeves clone with the original's memory implanted? Half the work of harvesting the memories is already done.

Well OK. At my son's prodding I forged ahead and am up to this episode, and I have to admit that I was wrong about a lot of things when I posted my comments in the E3 thread. While i still don't think this series is the greatest thing since sliced bread, after E6 and E7 it's all coming together and I'm intrigued. It still took too long to really "get it" and I almost quit the series as you know, but I'm in until the end now. Not sure if I'm back for another season, but we'll see.

I wonder if this is just a trait of Lindlehoff's writing style. I quit the Leftovers because after a 1.5 seasons of that I had enough. At least this one got there toward the end of S1.

There is speculation of a 2nd season, but this was intended as a one-and-done limited series (….but so was Little Big Lies (or was is Big Little Lies ;))

    Yeah 1 and done
But Lindlehoff said he's done regardless
And a 2nd season if it does happen/should be a whole different story in the same world
