Yeah, that's the part of the series I'm skeptical about. Even with a senator backing them, I seriously doubt 7K would have the resources or know-how to kill Doctor Manhattan.

I get why those of you who read the comic books are so into this show, but I never did and candidly it's just tedious trying to understand what the hell is going on. I wanted to like this show, but it's just too confusing - too much nonsense to follow.

I never read them (going to though)

But even if you haven't it's getting explained.

Also loving reading and listing to podcasts after each ep!

I think having read the comic book only gives you a little extra insight. It's pretty stand-alone. Any confusion is more due to the nature of the storytelling. It's definitely one of those shows that rewards close attention...and penalizes casual viewing.

Okay, I agree that paying VERY close attention, and even multiple viewings of each episode, would likely help a lot. But frankly I'm one of those people who wants to be entertained without having to work too hard to understand what's going on ;). Again, I do see why others like it - well produced, good acting, etc. - just not what I expected or was hoping for.

And of course there's nothing wrong with that. This just isn't really the kind of show that you can watch that way.

Fortunately, there's a wide variety of shows out there!

Don't get me wrong - I don't like "pap" - I do want to watch shows that are intelligent and require a modicum of thinking. Just don't want to have to be glued to the screen to make sure I don't miss anything. And as you say, there are lots of shows that fit that category :)

Word of advice...don't ever watch the movie Primer. :D

(That's the time travel movie that's so intricately plotted, the internet diagrams of the timelines are too big to be printed out.)

    Same here.

And yet I've watched it three times (and probably will again).

Dang, you're right! Those micro-budget black & white movies with insanely intricate plots whose titles start with P tend to blur together. :D

I could have sworn "Primer" was in color. Am I in the wrong timeline somehow?

2 different things, both minor and from the Peteypedia

Love that she graduated from MIT and later bought it, but I guess it was a different MIT - Myramar Institute of Technology

And can't Dr. Manhattan be in 2 places at once or something? or could he kinda setup the sand castle thing to "run" on it's own?

My thought was that since she controlled the Mars cameras, she can show whatever she wants the public to see.

I mean, she's keeping the Manhattan Booths going even though she knows that he's on Earth and has been for awhile.
