As I was clicking the thread, I tried to think what could be spun off. The first thing to come to mind was HG Wells and I was right!! :)

Could be fun...I hope though it doesn't get too cheesy like WH13 ended up being.

We were fans of WH early on, but then things really started getting too corny and b-movie'ish and we lost interest.

Wow, that article says Warehouse 13 is the most watched SyFy original series ever. I would not have guessed that. I'm assuming that means the Stargate stuff isn't considered a SyFy original series? Since it started on Showtime and such?

I seem to remember the show being corny and b-movie'ish from the first episode. :D

I'll give it a shot. I like Warehouse 13 for all it's corniness. It's summertime light fun, and this sounds like more of the same.

I would have thought Eureka got better ratings than WH13, but I guess not.

I'll probably check it out, but I'm not that excited about it.

Like WH13. Look forward to it every year and I love the cheese stuff. I will be definally try out the HG Wells spinoff as I like her character.

It didn't seem as bad early on...but soon took on a whole other realm of bad acting and cheese that just turned us off of it.

No, I think what they mean really is that WH13 gets the highest ratings of any scripted show they've ever aired. Including Stargate.

Which may partly explain why WH13 is still on, and Stargate ain't.

The description for this show sounds promising. I'll definitely give it a shot. Sounds like H.G. Wells is going to be a steampunkish Sherlock Holmes or something.

Fine with me, Jaimie Murray is great in the role and easy on the eyes.

A lot easier on the eyes in the 2nd season of Spartacus than on W13.

I believe she showed a lot of her talent in Dexter as well.

Really? I guess I would think that in the early days of Stargate SG-1, it got good ratings.

I remember a SF fan saying the difference between Warehouse 13 and Eureka. Both are comedies but Eureka seemed to respect SF whilst Warehouse 13 didn't. I made it through about two episodes before giving up on it. Just didn't like the premise or the characters. I hope the H.G. Wells thing is better.
