Am I the only TIVO user that does not like the ''NEW'' "PLAN BLUE" TIVO logo?
Also I really miss the "Walking Through The Ages" Tivo Man on Reboot!
Did anybody happen to YouTube this little boot up sequence?

I'm pretty sure the new logo is silver. If yours is blue the color temperature on your display is probably set too cool.

I miss the little guy... Anyone know why he was removed to this shadow of his former self?

Marketing deemed the old logo too juvenile.

Everything else has been re-branded with the new logo already. The bolt has had this logo since launch I believe, the remotes and their website have also had it for a while I believe.
Not a huge fan of the new logo, but I'm sure they felt it was more modern looking.

Sigh..... whether juvenile or modern, I've enjoyed the little guy growing up into full animation since 2000 when I got my first Tivo. They're making it unrecognizable from that ground breaking product.

    Dan:
    Thank You..
That was a different animation than I had ever seen before starting with my first DirecTivo it was a 'Walking' logo going from the B&W days to Modern Widescreen.

Just wish I had a simple way to push these to the unit as an archived video.. Like the way that TIVO pushes other advertisements!

Slightly off topic.. In my home it is blue on three different TIVO models connected to four different TV's (three of them set at factory color settings) 2X4K 2X1080i/p.

I've never seen that one before. The animation I remember was the roller coaster/Mousetrap board game thing.

Agreed, but, thank heavens, there's always YouTube!

I especially liked, in the original video, when TiVo creature jumped out of the video into my TiVo Central page--I always found that magical (and still do)--genius. :)

I think that companies, at times, feel that they need to be "grown up" and "professional." Understandable. But, when we're talking entertainment companies, a little whimsy is good as well--it's entertainment, after all!

Also, it violated the first rule of marking 101, never use a five color logo. :)

Your not suppose to the factory settings, that just for display in the stores. Goto Cnet or find a calibration DVD.

I believe that's the most recent one, from the Roamio before they removed it.

I always thought it jumped out of the video and onto the rightful place on the TiVo Central page. I think my Series 1 had it best because it was jumping to the page as it was being built. Alas, they couldn't get the timing right so the cut from the animation to the real TiVo central page would be seamless - there's always a slight stutter because the animation didn't line up.

And when the TiVoGuy took a bow, there was the TiVo sounds...

I think TiVo actually gave me that Premiere one to post to YouTube (upon request) - vs the THX one I had recorded and uploaded.
