Next week is the mid-season finale. I doubt it'll be that focused on just morgan et al. I could be wrong though.

At the rate we're going Carl will be married and Maggie still hasn't had her lid. :)

Eugene came up with a plan to free Sanctuary from the Walkers. They also knew about the snipers, so the plan had to include that element as well.

All we know about the plan is that it would use a lot of bullets.

So when Rick gets there, all the walkers are dead and none of the snipers are at their post. This is an indication that Eugene's plan worked.

I sure hope the plan is a little more elaborate than "let's use all our bullets to kill all the walkers and the snipers". I'm not holding my breath.

Don't worry. Eugene can make more bullets.

I particularly like this discussion! It took him how long to make one bullet?? He will need to make literally tens of thousands for the anticipated fight. :D:rolleyes:

I don't think Negan was asking him to make bullets for his plan; he was talking about him being able to replenish the supply afterward.

Good episode. Just enough build up for the mid-season show. Now the next show has to deliver right?

I really would like to see Eugene get killed by a bunch of walkers.

I think Eugene deserves to be executed by living humans. Getting eaten by walkers is too "normal" for that world and too good for him. He deserves to be judged and to be found wanting and the depth of his failure as a human dawning on him.

Except it wouldn't be the depth of his failure as a human being that would dawn on him...it would be the extent of his miscalculations.

i didn't mind this episode other than not knowing when in the timeline the Rick and Garbage people scenes were happening compared to what was going on with the rest of the group and the saviors.

I know people hate Eugene but I thought this was a good episode with him. So what do we think is going on with him at the end? Is he just overwhelmed because he is a coward and is afraid that Neegan will kill him because he hasn't delivered on his promise and thinks he is failing at self preservation? Is he conflicted because he truly cares about his past "traveling companions" but doesn't want the saviors to think so?

He made it clear that he's all about self preservation and screw anyone else that keeps him from staying alive. Since his current group is with the saviors, then keeping the saviors alive keeps himself alive. However, that means his old traveling companions are screwed.

Poor Eugene just wants everyone to get along.

I want Eugene to become a walker, not realize it, and eat himself.

The lookout/sniper was an Alexandrian. He was wearing an white armband.

    Tarryl had a tarrabyl idea.

I don't know how Rick could trust Jadis and her people again...

And I am not sure why Jadis would genuinely agree to siding with Rick and his group after she clearly took the side of the Saviors, and just recently told Rick that she would not side with him (the key word here is "genuinely"... I get that she could be being deceitful here)...

What I didn't understand is why all of the Junkyardigans would stand there with guns trained on Rick while he is on top of Jadis and about to kill her, but not fire. I know it's because that's how the plot was written, but in that kind of situation, there's no way 20 people with guns see their leader about to get killed and just sit there and watch. Someone would have shot Rick.

Yeah...this show boggles my, somewhat limited, mind. I was thinking the same thing. But, then, of course, there are so many actions in this show that defy logic...

It seems less a stretch than dead people walking around months (years?) after death with no apparent source of nourishment and traditional biological repair mechanisms not functional...

The reason I'm here in this thread today is to see if there was something more to Eugene's plan that I missed. The speaker-drone was kinda clever. Then we transitioned from that to "let's use all our bullets". I'm hoping next week shows us the missing time when the saviors broke out.

I have to confess I'm starting to find the saviors more interesting than Rick and company. Negan is an evil bastard, but he's the one character on the series who gets it.
