I really want to retire one of my SD series one Tivos. I'm still on an old 15 year old tv and composite video at home.

So I went to my local ding and dent store and they had a Series 3 tivo HD with the 180 hour SD/20 hour HD sized hard drive in it.

They were asking 134 for the thing but I want to know if that is a good deal or no. It is used, not new.

Also, are they upgradable like my old tivos are?

Yes, it is a good deal. The going price on TiVo HD is about $175-200

Yes, you can upgrade the drive. Read the sticky on top, it is the very first thread in this forum.

That seems high, considering you can buy a factory-renewed model from TiVo for $200. I wouldn't pay over $150 for a used one.

I just bought a used TivoHD on ebay for $89 on "Buy It Now". And the Tivo Wireless G adapter is included. I might just keep the wireless adapter and resell the Tivo. Or I might resell them both individually. But for the most part it does look like used TivoHD's are going for between about $150-$200.
