I watched some of it on Netflix a few months back. Oh yeah it is pretty cheesy. One throwback for me was how they used to have opening credits that lasted like 5-10 minutes, remember where all they would show are the credits over a black background. I like the way they do it now where they just put them on the bottom while the beginning of the show is going. My ADDHD was getting to me and I had to fast forward the credits.

This was my exact thought. In order to be a food source, we have to have the right nutrients in us first. I guess Red Rain adds phosphorus into our ecosystem, but it doesn't exactly explain why Anna released it in anger when it was part of the plan all along. Looks like they tried to explain it as her rushing the plan, but it feels a little flat to me as a reason.

Why isn't it funny to make fun of haters? Making fun of things takes their power from them.

Oh, yeah. I see your point.

By the way, since one of the shortest quotes in the Bible is "God is love", and every other religion I have studied essentialy says the same thing, they need to review their theology.

And that also goes for if Vs existed.

Well, clearly all the religions you've studied have it wrong, because I've seen signs saying that God hates all kinds of things and people. And I saw them on CNN, so it must be true.

Me too. And sometimes the needles are so long that if it were really doing it they'd be injecting the drug right into their throat! They may as well just administer it orally! :)

Yeah, they finally decided exactly what the V's look like, and they really went all out showing and using it in this episode.

And it doesn't really fit the motivation, either. Anna: "You killed my babies! I'm soo angry that I'm going to unleash my terrible vengeance by ...making you more breeding-compatible!" ?!?

Not breeding compatible, but a nutritious food source with all the V version of folic acid needed to have healthy children.

Are we so sure that this version of V that they want us as food? Unless Laura Vandervoort is merely playing with her food (she can play with me anytime :D ) I think they do plan on breeding with us. Or the writers have no direction or thought on where they're going and are writing the series per episode and damn having any continuity, but just want to add scenes with hawt young Vandervoort flesh.

I think the big reveal they need to do quick is what the Red Sky/Rain did (maybe leave some mystery about it) and more importantly how does it tie in to Anna's tantrum. Was she trying to punish the human race, or get back at the 5th column by impulsively jumping the plan ahead of schedule.

Which is it---is it plain old phosphorous in the red stuff, or is a mysterious new compound that no one can identify? Or maybe both? I didn't get what Sam (or Dr. Whatever) said it was.

There was a lot of hand-waving involved. They wanted it to tie in with the phosphorous reference from Val's pregnancy, but they also wanted it to be a uniquely alien chemical. Obviously those don't mesh well, since phosphorous is an element, but they tried to make it work anyway. The official line is that it's a "new form of phosphorous", which I retconned to mean a phosphorous laden compound of some sort. Still no explanation for why such a thing would be abundant on V-world yet entirely unknown to science on Earth...

My advice: Try not to worry about scientific implausibilities with this show; if you considered them all, your head would explode :)

I just want to know if it's an aphrodisiac or a spice rub.

He might take the news badly at first, but when he finds out he's a halfbreed he'll get over it.

Kind of hard to hide a tail. Tyler must be truly p-whipped if he's that blind.

Too bad that there's no way to hide that neck and tail inside of any sort of human skin suit and make a reasonably anatomically correct human body.

This kind of stuff bothers me in cheapo science fiction. They could have just as easily come up with an alien skeletal remains that would fit inside the human body.

Like, where are they hiding that tail in the skin suits?

Maybe it's retractable. It only springs to full size as needed. Like when Anna is in the full Plak tow.

I understand there are precedents in nature.
