But yet, she shares the name of her very character.

I know that Kenneth Johnson fought against this incarnation of V from the onset. The use a Badler as "Diana", but not the same "Diana" smacks of a big middle finger in the face of Ken.

I liked the "God Hates V's" sign that someone was holding up during the protest/riot.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPjSp1z2ZPc&feature=related is the interview I was referring to. That particular user, martindonovan has also uploaded some other good V stuff.

I didn't know about Kenneth Johnson's opposition to this reboot.

I didn't notice it, but that's in poor taste IMO.

Why is it in poor taste? It reflects some actual signs about different subjects of hate. In other words, it is funny.

Wow, you think it's funny to reference the WBC?

Why not? They're laughable - certainly not to be taken seriously.

Wow, you think the WBC were the first people to ever use that slogan?

It's been so long that I don't remember everything that happened previously, but I thought that the priest guy had gotten stabbed and was lying on the floor of the church bleeding in the final episode of the first season. And yet he's fine now.

Am I misremembering or did they just pretend it didn't happen?

I wonder if the reptile dude who got tailed did anything wrong or just happened to be standing in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Morena Baccarin's neck is so long it's spooky. Merton Hanks-ish, for those of us who remember the SF 49'ers defensive back.

The actor who plays Decker is so lightweight he should be walking on the ceiling.

It was great to see Brett Harrison. Please don't hire Tyler Labine.

I thought this episode was pretty good.

My wife mentioned that one of the 29 captains was chatting when Anna walked in, and she thinks that's the guy that got tailed.

That kid in the jar was a girl? She looked a lot more like here dad than her mom or even a lizard.

That must be what it is! Every time I see her I think how great the casting is -- she just seems to ooze reptile.

I don't want to continue this discussion here anymore, suffice to say what they do and stand for causes pain to others and it's not laughable...to me at least.

I don't care if they're the first or the hundredth, but I'm pretty damn sure the WBC were the "inspiration".

To each his own... I think they're a joke and wouldn't give them any satisfaction by getting upset about anything they say or do.

I was really hoping that the guy was going to say something like, "OK, I'll get you a bandage for that, but I need to take a clean sample with this" *holds up test tube/needle*.

Between Anna having churned out such a huge batch of kids and the way they focused on the skeleton with its sharp teeth, I was sure they were going to say that the Vs were raising the phosphorous in our systems to make us a more nutritious food...

Count me as another person who thought the "God hates Vs" sign was funny.

The palm cutting always drives me nuts. It's done on every show and you never see anybody with a bandage afterwards.

The other thing that gets me is that hypodermic needles are always applied to the neck on tv.

If Erica was a poster here, I'd point her to this link.

    Can you say "phlebotomy"?
    I knew you could.

On a side note, we should watch the original with the same eyes used to watch the new series and see exactly how many complaints we have. :)
