Using both the kmttg and pytivo methods, when I transfer a recording from the bolt of, for example, 7 hours and 25 minutes, the resulting tivo recording file on my laptop is only 7 hours and 22 minutes. This happens with all of the files downloaded from using these methods.

Can anyone explain the difference in time?

When I used to use the TIVO Desktop program, the resulting files were the same time as the recording on the bolt.

Happy Thanksgiving to all. And thanks for any help.

Also, when downloading as a Program Stream, what does the following Warning mean? That I would not be able to transfer back to the TIVO (the interface before Hydra)?

Warning! If you attempt to download a show from an MPEG-4 channel using the Program Stream format the resulting file will be unusable

It has been known that MPEG4 recordings must be downloaded by TS (Faster Transfers in Tivo Desktop). Using PS downloads, will result in the video file having only audio and no video.
